💼 Careercow Brandon "Bam" Margera - From Jackass to Lolcow

Bam Margera's secret tape (this is in the game):
Bam Margera | Behind The Scenes of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 (I think this is just for Youtube, and wow, look at those views, and compare them to the rest on the channel):
I've wrote it once and I'll write it again, Bam is more impressive as a skateboarder today than he was in his 20s. I thought Bam would be moving around in a wheelchair today. Keep Earthrocking Bam!

I mean let's say he's 20 to 40 pounds overweight, he still skates better than most of us ever will.

The fact that he's doing something that he's passionate about and makes him happy is more satisfying to watch than any trick or line.

The way he can just point to a spot and autistically tell you not only half a dozen people who have skated it but precisely what they did there twenty years ago is as entertaining as anything he himself is doing.

That's why I have said if he cleans himself up he should seriously run a skate shop. Help new generation, be able to talk of half pipes of yore meeting Bucky, Tony etc.. make good money and still be part of his own fame as well as passion.

There is no money in running a brick and mortar skate shop in 2025.

The one near me has grown and moved to bigger places twice in past decade, has a park and everything now. I'm in a rich WASP area not too far from where Bam is from. Plus Bam being there has that celeb appeal. People will show up for pictures buy a sticker etc.

Actually next month I'm going to an event where local brewer donates a few kegs to shop you buy beer to pay for kids pads and shit. Good cause.

They are rare.
But they exist.
I didn't say that skate shops didn’t exist anymore, I said that there is no real money to be made in opening one up in this day and age of online shops. They are rare because they can't keep the lights on. This is a very common problem that skaters and shop owners have been dealing with for awhile now. A lot of shops now don't even carry actual skate brands like they used to. They have to fill their stores up with Nike and Converse products just to keep the lights on.

Why did they censor half of the fucking skateparks? Faggots

Because if they didn't censor the logos of every poster hanging in the park they'd have to pay the companies for using the logo, I assume the same goes for all the lurkers hanging at the skatepark
Some of the footage (the under-bridge skatepark) is from the "Rental Car" skit from CKY2K. I went and watched it again and saw all the blurred out areas had street art paintings on them. Your guess why is as good as mine (I wonder if the original artists have included them in art books thus copyrighted them).

This interview was posted yesterday.
Because of the green screen I thought it was a cutout of Bam first.

THPS3+4 is fun btw. It’s basically an expansion pack to 1+2 which is fine because that game is still great. It’s nice to have NPCs walking around the environment again you’re not just skateboarding in totally empty places.

There's two (2) in my soon-to-be former neighbourhood which do good enough to afford to stay closed October through Easter. Neither run their own brands though, which I can concede may be a losing gamble unless you're an established name and/or can secure sponsorships, collabs, and influencers to get the word out there, but that's by the by.

Support your local skate shop, keeds.

There's a skate shop in my town that's been around forever and seems to do brisk business. Probably helps that there's a popular community skate park right down the block. From what I've seen most operating shops are relatively small, legacy operations with 2-3 employees, as well as a favorable lease agreement and/or own the space outright.

That said, I also imagine the monetary side of things would be a non-issue for Bam, if he wanted to he could probably run the place at a loss in perpetuity assuming he put someone competent in charge of the financials and didn't tard up the day-to-day operations too much.
