Careercow Brandon "Bam" Margera - From Jackass to Lolcow

You know, that reminds me—I have no idea what sort of role today's Bam would play in a Jackass 4, even without taking into consideration his current physical and mental state. What made him stand out so much was that out of the group he was the youthful, hotheaded, mischievous one, made all the more apparent by the fact that he was the only one whose parents were regularly shown throughout the series.

Say what you will about how the other cast members have been dealing with age, but at least they weren't typecast to such a role, and you could make the argument that they could reasonably work in a Jackass 4—like, Steve-O still regularly does stunts, and he seems to be doing fine for himself. I can't say that about Bam because all those years of being "the kid" have caught up to him hard; it worked when he was in his late teens to early twenties, but a 41-year-old Bam Margera trying to assume that role will be nowhere near as convincing and just won't mesh well with the other guys. The only way they could replicate that dynamic from back in the day between Bam and the rest of the crew is to replace him with a current twenty-something and have him be "the Bam," the audience's perception of him be damned. And then maybe he'll spiral into oblivion just like his predecessor has.

I'm just saying, 3.5 was a good note to end it on.

EDIT: Oh hey, thread's been moved. Cool. 8)

The only reason Bam is so bad right now is because he keeps letting people in to the castle to skate. For those who don't know he moved. He isnt very far from the old castle.

That place is like... To use his words... "An abandoned theme park". Imagine waking up everyday, trying to fill the void of what used to happen in that house. MTV gave him $300k PER EPISODE of Viva La Bam... Everything they had on film was golden, and probably fun as fuck. Hanging out with your friends all day, selling more boards and shoes than Tony Hawk, being literally the most famous person in the US, other famous people want to be around you all the time. You can hire your friends to just hang out with you all day and do nothing.

Now picture waking up in that house.
Its like waking up the morning after your wife packs all her shit and leaves.

MTV had planned to do a few more seasons. Dunn got a show. Dico wrote a cartoon that they finished I believe but never made it to air.

Dunn eventually stopped hanging around the crew because he was having some serious mental health issues. Bam started getting really coked up during the filming of Minghags and everyone just kind of wanted to tell him to fuck off. The fire was dying so to speak. Dico was tired of taking orders from MTV. I like to compare him to Syd Barrett, because the guy was an absolute genius. He was funny as fucking shit, 1000% the funniest person in any project the CKY crew dropped. But, just like Syd, he wanted a normal life, not fame. So he walked away when it became an inconvenience and wasnt fun anymore (also bam was being a dick). I dont blame the guy. Ever wonder why he was always back in Westchester when the guys flew out of the country? MTV. Thats why. He had a formula of comedy, and MTV wanted to force it AND spend several days (if not weeks) traveling for MTV. SPOILER! It was all fake, every last bit was scripted. So when they traveled, all they did was run from shoot to shoot filming and then got hammered at whatever bar Bam wanted to go to. He actually wanted to see the world. He told them to fuck off and stayed home. Chris Raab (Himself) recognized that he, and his buddies were all getting a little too crazy with the booze, and he wanted to go to school because he realized that Viva La Bam wasnt gonna last, and he couldn't ride Bams coat his whole life to feed himself. The guy lived in Bams parents basement for years. Bam kinda led him astray from school, and he missed a lot of his classes because of Bam and the booze. So he kinda slowly walked away, got clean and went back to school. Rake was already a chemist, so he was set and destined for success no matter what. The only person that stuck around was fucking nasty ass Novak. A heroin Junkie Leech. Who eventually dragged Bam even futher down the hole during the "Fuckface Unstopable" days. Eventually Novak walked away and got clean too.
All of this shit kinda happened right around the time MTV said "Its over".

The only way to escape that is to visit his parents, and that where season 1 was filmed. He literally cant get away. He is trying to replicate days of old.

Anyway...

Now he is alone. So he lets fucking poser Nudie-Novak wannabees come over whenever they want to try and re-live his glory days. He tried to move away. April was gonna turn the Castle in to an Airbnb... But that fell through. He claims he doesnt hang around there so much, but thats total BS. The dudes family has some serious mental health issues, and combine that with hundreds of incidents of head trauma over the years, Alcohol Abuse, then eventually coke and meth addiction that all lasts for years... Recipe for disaster. Bam wont be in the new Jackass film. He is a liability. If he is talking to Tremaine or any of the Jackass guys he claims he is sober, but I can find videos of him that these scumfucks that mooch off of him and live at his house posted on youtube where he is "just sippin on beers". That video was posted maybe a month ago.

So just to show you how little he cares... He lets literally hundreds of nasty drug addict scumfucks stay at his house, indefinitely... during a pandemic. So yeah.

OH! One more thing...
Dont for one second buy into the "Dunn died so Bam became a drunk, druggie" bullshit. He was already heinious with the drugs and alcohol WAAAY before Dunn died. Despite watching Novak destroy himself for years.

Just in case you're curious about the type of retards Bam surrounds himself with.

Airbnb? Christ, the castle is big enough to be a hotel. The upkeep would be silly as a simple one unit deal.

Ape renovated the whole house to turn it into an airbnb, because people wanted to book it for weddings and stuff. High profile clients. They had people from Germany willing to pay thousands a day to stay. As we all know, Bam is running out of money, and this was Ape and Phil's solution. The reason it fell through is because of all the drug addicts that just sorta... Squat. Half of them Bam doesn't even want there. He will pretend to leave for a day or two, because everyone knows when he leave Ape comes over to clean and kick out whoever is jacking off on his rugs, stealing and eating all the food. Sometimes people even just take Bam's cars out because the dummy leaves the keys to Lamborghinis and shit just laying wherever.

But no, they he just lets people stay for free.

From what I have read, about 25 years ago Bam was an incredibly friendly, funny and sweet guy. At least to people he looked up to and wanted to impress. But back then he already had problems with alcohol and drugs. His entire life, he has suffered from a complete lack of impulse control.
He was 16 years old, 25 years ago. If he was already fucked by substances at that age then no fucking wonder the entire plot arc of Bojack Horseman is apparently based on how Bam wastes what remains of his life.

Oh, that's right, it was Homewrecker.
It's available on Vimeo, oddly enough. Doesn't look like an official upload, but there you go.
No real news on Bam Margera today, he has just been posting mostly random shit, including a screencap of Don Vito.

As someone who used to find Bam cute and have a crush of sorts in the early 00s and eat VLB/Jackass up like chocolate candies, this is kinda painful to see. :(

Bam has seemingly everything you could want; a family, a son, enough economic clout... and yet he seems so miserable and juvenile to a demented fault. It's like he'd rather still be cruising nighttime LA with Ville Valo or getting hit in the balls in 2002 than enjoy what he has right now.
I guess you actually can't have everything you want even you seemingly do.
