This is very emblematic of what makes me mad about YouTube video essays.

Take an incident (Will Smith bitch-slaps Chris Rock) which is unequivocally hilarious - it's just a funny video of one spoiled millionaire actor getting overly sensitive about some milquetoast put-down leveled at his openly adulterous bald wife and slapping the jester who made the gag. Good, wholesome fun for all the family.

Now make a miserable, overly serious two hour video essay about why it's not that, it's actually about how traumatic it is to just be a black male growing up in Nazi Germany 20th century America.

Teenagers spend hours watching this shit and being fed a message that they cannot have fun, it is wrong to have fun for any reason and everything that they might have accidentally found funny is actually a symptom of severe intergenerational trauma caused by racism/sexism/homophobia/whatever the fuck. And if they don't take it super seriously and try to address the system issues™ at play then they are horrible people.

Then we wonder why teens are killing themselves left right and centre, are completely miserable all the time and constantly lashing out and creating havoc for everybody around them!
