It must sting John knowing that no matter how much he postures, Ivanka and any other woman who doesn't fit in his bizarre idea of what a woman is will still be more of a woman than he ever will.

Oh, and Ivanka doesn't look like a monster from Silent Hill.

He basically has Movie Blob syndrome, ie. reading a Wikipedia entry or article on a topic written by someone smarter than him, not understanding the topic, then somehow incorrectly parroting the point trying to be made.

It's like cargo cult intellectualism. What do smart people do? They look up information, learn it, process it, and if required can then explain it to others.

So Wu looks up information - a Wikipedia article. Then learns it - not the whole thing, just a few phrases that make it sound like she knows what she's talking about. Then processes it - by regarding it as a fact that proves her intelligence, without going through any pesky analysis of the sources or the accuracy of what she's read, or thinking about where it fits with the other information on the subject. Then finally explains it to others - by writing a typo-ridden tweet involving buzzwords that demonstrates to anyone with actual knowledge of the subject to realise she's regurgitating words from something she read that she didn't really understand.

I know there's a specific word for someone who does that, but I can't remember what it is. All the ones I can think of - buffoon, charlatan, ignoramus, faker and so on - don't have that precise definition of someone who thinks they're smart and well-informed, but is only being confidently wrong on a myriad of topics.

He knows on some level he's wrong about these things, because when called out on his bullshit, he never tries to defend his idiotic statement, but instead starts attacking whoever pointed out he has no clue what he's talking about.

Dunning-Kruger?

It feels like there ought to be a good German word for this kind of thing as they have a lot of weird words for oddly specific things like this. Unfortunately, my German is only casual.

I don't know the word you're looking for, but facile and specious should be what John names his fists.

If something is stochastic, how can you accurately predict a pattern of behaviour? If it was predictable wouldn't that make it the opposite of stochastic?

You just apply an unbiased Monte Carlo method to it so [wu-style technobabble].

"Stochastic terrorism" has a short entry on wiktionary that was created in 2018 and sources an anonymous blogger quoted in a book called "out for queer blood", good stuff. I mean gay stuff. Google trends shows that it started popping off a week ago. Buzzfeed or Huffington Post or someone probably wrote an article using that term in relation to the shooting in Pittsburgh and Gab, Wu then picked up on it. (maybe it stuck because stochastic is a term used in relation to rendering graphics)

Dumb fucker consistently misspells tomorrow in his tweets but manages to spell stochastic properly? How the hell does that work?

Are we sure he isn't talking about school shootings, i.e., scholastic terrorism? Tho in John's mind, scholastic terrorism might be his own personal description for going to college for ten years yet still being denied a degree. This, despite his obvious achievements in all things tech, such as using spellcheck on his iPhone.

JFC imagine being the kid trick or treating and WU opens the door and hands you candy fucking corn. Literal nightmare fuel. The police should cordon off his house tonight.
That manga ghoul people keep posting comes to mind.

I keep shuddering at those costume pics of John and Frank from some con. They’re horrifying.
