I can confirm that Wu was scheduled to talk at Google at the beginning of November. It wasn't recorded and wasn't open to the public which is why she may have been quiet about it (potential NDA about the details too is my speculation). The topic was "How Google can solve the problems of gamergate". It sounds too Wu to be true but I assure you it's the actual title. It was basically her recycled speech on sexism in tech and how she's the number one top victim. No idea about turnouts but since it's just recycling old content that she presented to the same office not that long ago I wouldn't be surprised if it was low.

Fitting because of that FBI report that just dropped that said all the "threats" she received from Gamergate were non credible.

Was Wu home schooled or something?

Back in the day I (like every other student) would have protested Trump, just to have an excuse not to sit in class. And I would be very surprised, if that has changed in any way.

Back then in the dark ages, a few teachers at my school organised a protest against the Iraq war and 'enlisted' the students. Needless to say, the alternative was to stay in class for the duration of the rally. Anyone who wasn't sick that day joined, although everyone was very aware that a few grammar school students, running around Bumfuck Germany waving signs around wouldn't change shit. We bailed about half an hour into the rally, had a few beers, then reappeared near the end. Those were easier times.

Nah, it's kinda funny, but not something Wu will say much about. There appears to be enough diversity (both sexual and racial) in the brackets to neuter most of the things she usually bitches about.

If she addresses it at all, we'll likely just get a passive aggressive post along the lines of "See how little this bothers me?" along with some smughearts (I'm betting on 3)

I never understood the walking out of school to protest bs. Whenever someone did this at my school it was always the flunkies and problem kids because they just wanted an excuse to cut class. The kids, like me, that had good grades and were in AP and gifted classes stayed in class and continued working hard. This is why my wife and I have a successful careers and make money without having to rely on an Asian sugar daddy or our parents.

What would John know about working hard when everything including all of his failures were handed to him on a silver platter.

I can buy that Google hosted a "how Google can solve gamergate" talk, because Google is a massive company by this point-hell, we're talking Shadowrun megacorp size. In any company that big, you'll have dumbasses making stupid decisions. Gamergate stuff might be one lonely guy's pet project that isn't going to turn any profit for the company, but he gets away with it because nobody cares.

I could be wrong totally, but i can at least buy that one person at Google has a lot of power and is a complete fuckwit

It sounds like the FBI followed up on the Jace lead by interviewing Jan and realized it was a joke. Doesn't Wu still use footage of him and Tyce in her talks? I heard she no longer gives an introduction and explanation to the car crash video but just says "This video should speak for itself" or something along those lines. So the internet and FBI told her a guy wasn't a threat and she kept pushing that story to audiences who didn't know any better.

Wu is such a class act.
