She's like
Stephen Glass, only worse. Take Glass, subtract the ability to be gainfully employed, and a dash of "internet celebrity for all of the wrong reasons" and you have Wu.
I have to believe that one day all of these lies will unravel. They're so obvious and so easy to prove false. It will just take one mainstream journalist to do his or her actual job and ask real questions/do real vetting.
Someone like that has to exist out there, right? Right?
Nobody will do it because Wu is a total nonentity. People who enjoy watching some spastic sperg out are the only people who care. Wu only matters to us, because we enjoy watching something so pitiably hopeless yet idiotic flail around wildly, attempting to navigate through life as a true and honest woman.
Wu does not get invited to real conferences.
Wu is not a """woman""" in tech anymore, if one can consider shitting out an iOS game to be "in the industry".
Gamergate is at most a footnote in mainstream news following a couple weeks of sporadic coverage and a law and order svu episode. Any other mention of GG is practically limited to publications that believe it's still going on and that they are heroically fighting against it.
Wu is a crackpot candidate, and barring a funny news blurb when they make a ridiculous attack ad or get arrested for something stupid, those guys do not deserve or receive coverage.
Nobody will report on Wu because it would be like CNN doing an expose on your neighbor lying about the size of the fish he caught last week at the lake. Wu is just another autism-addled, mental illness ridden, virtue signaling, asspat begging, exceptional individual. Nothing he says has any bearing on anything, it has no weight. If the last year has shown us anything, whiny bitch babies on Twitter amount to nothing in the real world.
Wu had his 15 minutes of dubious fame in the dim glow of gamergate. The rapidly dwindling patreonbux show how his recognition has faded. He is a walking, tweeting sideshow, a man-gorilla, and nothing else. Nobody will take him to task in the media because you don't give somebody like that the time of day. Wu's name might be on a couple of rolodexes for when some scumsucking ex-gawker "journalist" needs a one sentence sound byte from somebody they can tenuously connect to feminism or gamergate for a backpack article nobody will read, and that is about it.
Nothing Wu does is of consequence. None of his words, his actions, how tweets, his speeches, his anything, matters at all. Even in the (few and far between) crowds that will allow him as an audience, nobody gives any thought to his words or talks. Wu is the safest sort of cow because he isn't a ticking timebomb like the schizos or horrorcows. He's just a mess.
No, the chief domestic product, and purpose of Wu, is (aside from the copious quantities of dumb bullshit spewed on Twitter with amazing frequency) mild amusement that somebody so stupid can exist, and a feeling of contentment among those few who bother to keep aware of his antics that they can never sink that low in life, no matter what.
Wu's lies aren't something that can or would "unravel" because anybody that would be inclined to do so would either abandon an investigation immediately upon seeing what he is, or make an account here to join the peanut gallery and laugh.
