“How can you say you love me and respect me” this part of John’s psychology is fascinating to me. He does this with any old rando he encounters, normal people just don’t implore strangers to love them and respect them. His whole shtick makes me imagine he treats his IRLs this way also. Sweeping dramatic statements about love and respect, and when that doesn’t work, backing them into a corner (what would you have me do? Get specific.) I know he thinks it’s feminine behavior but it comes across decidedly male in a way I can’t explain.
