Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

So what do you think about social justice morons absolutely fucking up the industry beyond repair, John?

Where is the campaign event stream, John?

He doesn't even have the best thread in his own war room anymore, Lynch's everywhere around him are the superior content feeds to his garbage. Whose yer muddah?

The people who vote are boomers, John.

To be fair to John, the one time he's offered any hint of specifics on his view of a feasible path to victory in this election he said he's counting on support from 'people fed up with politics as usual.' So, 'new voters,' is how I'm interpreting that cypher of a plan?

As someone who owned first prints of the two parts to that story growing up, I'm offended John's such a whiny crybaby as to try and tie in such a great Marvel dystopian future timeline to the usual business of the day.

That ignorant comment about COBOL is the best part of the tweet. In 2018 COBOL is still being taught at more than 300 universities around the world, most of them -- like, say, Texas A&M and the University of Maryland -- better engineering schools than Ole Miss.

COBOL is an old program, but it is still one of the most important. There are more than 200 billion lines of COBOL code still active around the world. The average American has 13 interactions every day with something generated by a COBOL program.

Flynt/Wu is an irredeemable moron on every topic related to software.
And from the programmer's side, proficiency with COBOL is easy street to 6 figures. There are loads of companies out there (especially financial institutions) running legacy COBOL programs that none of their employees can maintain. Cue some kind of disaster or modernization project, and a few contractors are going to get very wealthy.

So naturally the tech illiterate Wu takes a shit on COBOL. Who cares if learning it makes for a productive and prosperous career? It's not the newest shiniest toy, so it's worthless to Brianna.

“The trump children think is devastating. I feel so angry and scared”

What does this mean in Wu speak?
"Trump is responsible for a proposed policy to separate the children of illegal immigrants from their parents. This devastates me so much that I cannot spell the word 'thing'. This will be my excuse for being a useless human being until further notice."

600 dollars on a tack-on multiplayer mode. I felt a bit dirty when I paid 5 bucks for Space Marine's Dreadnought multiplayer DLC.
I guess that's why THQ went bankrupt, not enough DLC for idiots like Wu.

I didn't even know Mass Effect had multiplayer.
How can anyone not be ashamed to admit spending so much money on one game? Anyway, it definitely lends credence to the belief that Wu dumps money into multi-player games as a substitute for being good. If he does it with one game and openly admits it, just imagine how much money he's pumping into various other games (that Star Trek game, the Final Fantasy 15 mobile game, and so on).

So let me get this straight. The multiplayer DLC apparently costs $1 or $2 apiece:

So John rolled the dice for rare gear something like 400 times. "An informed choice", ladies and gents!

Is anyone keeping a list of all the pay-to-win games John pays to win at? Besides Mass Effect, there's at least Star Trek Timelines, Final Fantasy Record Keeper, and Final Fantasy XV (thread here)

For the same reason he tweets about “being unable to buy a house” and then unashamedly states he spent $600 on video game gambling. Brianna Wu / John flynt is unstable and bad with (his husband’s) money.

I'm an old ME3 veteran, so I decided to roll some dice and determine exactly how much Wu grabbed for her money.

Assuming Wu did this at launch, and I have no reason to suspect she didn't, Wu essentially bought her way towards having every single common, uncommon, and rare in the game, with around a 72% odds that she also had every ultra rare at level 5 (out of 10) or higher.

Brianna Wu bought the equivalent of fifteen million in-game credits. Minimum. At most she spent about 18 million. Wu did not simply "drop some money" on a game she liked. She did the equivalent of paying to get the kind of cash she'd get from playing a gold-level match, at launch, over 220 times. She literally bought herself to top-tier equipment, of the sort that many players would have had to invest hundreds of hours in to acquire. Or so I thought, before I looked at her account on N7HQ and laughed my ass off, as Wu had almost entirely level 1-3 gear.

So Wu did something even stupider.

For the uninitiated, ME3's system is a prototype for all EA loot crates to follow. Basically, you'd have items from a pre-selected pool to get at each rarity. Commons and Uncommons are retardedly easy to get, and after that it's all rares and ultra-rares. The latter has no guaranteed drop packs despite there being one programmed into the game. Thing is, if you got the DLCs for the game, the item drop pool was diluted significantly in favor of rares/ultra rares each time, to the point where the game had roughly three times the number of rares and ultra rares you did at launch. Because you can't get duplicates, Wu doing this meant that instead of a small pool of guns she'd have fully mastered and basically been ready to dominate later matches in, she had barely any above entry level.

I bet John also doesn't know it was the first compiler invented (and actually rolled out), and it was invented by real woman in tech Admiral Grace Hopper. The reason it's on so many legacy systems, including ones run by governments and large corporations, is that at a point in history, any compiled language would have been COBOL since it was what existed.

Pretty typical of John to shit on the legacy of a real woman who, unlike him, actually worked in tech and personally revolutionized it.

How dumb do you have to be to have basically unlimited money and still lose at pay to win?
