Usually if a company drops you like a sack of bricks over demands being extreme, I'm pretty sure they have to refund you unless they give over an unfinished product with money back? I can maybe see them keeping some of it but. I'm not fully sure how those things work but I can't imagine they can give no return with no product to be seen.

It's more likely it was a shady company or it never even saw a company to begin with and just got squandered away. I'm leaning more towards the coding company never existed until physical proof shows otherwise.
 
They just posted this today:
"We are extremely sorry for the lack of updates on this blog. Both myself and Fourd have had some offline difficulties that have resulted in us not being online to answer questions, and we are sorry for that.
However! Most of the issues relating to the coding have been sorted out, and we are making much faster progress to having a working beta of the site available. Once again, we thank you for your continued support and generosity in both donations and time frame, and we are excited to have a working version available soon!"

That was Dear Leader typing that, you know the chick that has been blatantly vauge with what people's money is going towards and what's been happening behind the scenes. Anyway don't hold your breath for any prototype site or beta
