Off-Topic Bridget The Totem of Troons - >my wholesome and valid comfort character!!!

You forgot the obvious reason: it's a socially acceptable outlet for them to fulfil their fantasy in brutally beating women AND get cheered on doing it
Or maybe I'm fulfilling my alleged violent TERF fantasies of beating up poor, oppressed trans folx just trying to live out their lives in a socially acceptable way by steamrolling Testament and Bridget? Or my deep, dark redfem desires of killing all men?

This is like relitigating the 90's violent video game craziness. Why Guilty Gear instead of Street Fighter if you crave punching women? Why fighting games as opposed to any other genre where there are female opponents? This isn't actual sport and to even call such a cartoonish game like this brutal is laughable.

Troons are easily the least likely demographic to understand the separation of fiction from reality, so it's not too unreasonable to assume trannies live their violent fantasies vicariously through anime characters beating women.

More like because they are so openly aggressive with expressing physically and sexually deranged threats against women, I don't think they are using video games as a means to live out violent fantasies like that. Rather they are looking for trendy, affirming media that lets them indulge in the UwU cute trans gril fantasy. When it's a small community, it's also easier for obnoxious narcissists to take over. They then piss all over the place marking their territory which drives away anyone who does not want anything to do with that bullshit.

Speaking of troon totems, what the hell happened to this little guy?

As someone who has spent a lot of time in the various animu fandoms like GG, Persona, Danganronpa and Blazblue, I have a big bone to pick with femboy fuckery and faggot-baiting in general. The whole "man makes a better woman" or "male rivals are so obsessed with each other that they come off or are gay for each other" concepts make my eyes glaze over. It reeks of classic Japanese misogyny and the way Japanese men, despite their autistic fondness for anything effeminate, treat women as less than themselves or as incomplete copies.
While you are right about the profiles of the male femboyfuckers, saying the aesthetic's presence in Japanese media can be attributed only to societal or internalized misogyny is too naive, considering it does appear in non-BL media for women in a non-insignificant amount (And it's not because "whimin like to emasculate men!!1" either unlike what A&Ntards would say, considering the personalities of the characters are often not the "soft nonthreatening gayboi" troons love imitating and talking about.)
Example:

This is Minami from the otome visual novel "9 R.I.P." (It's not an eroge)

(I find it funny how in joseimuke media the "otokonokos" still have traits that show they are males, such as the hands, shoulders or even eyes.)

I didn't play the game admittedly but from the very little I know he is a "dark" character for those who like suspense dynamics.

Korean counterparts the norm is unrealistically proportioned masculine men:

with deviations from it being very rare, even if their personalities are not but Chinese have little issue and it's roughly similar to japanese but with more manly characters. I would not say Korean or Chinese societies are exactly "feminized" either, especially China.

I’m not a GGfag, so the thing I don’t understand about Bridget is that if he’s characterized as someone that wants to embrace his manhood and gets visibly upset when people misgender him, why doesn’t he just…stop crossdressing?
Thing is Bridget isn't crossdressing in his original default attire. It's that he have a very distorted idea of what to wear due to his upbringing. At least according to his entry in the 2002 game book.

Bridget genuinely ruined this game for me. I wish I never bothered playing it since trannies have decided to take it over and be obnoxious.
Bro I feel you, but that’s kind of a cuck mentality. Just be better than the trannies. Whenever I see a Bridget named BussyGobbler (that’s a real player’s tag) I fight them. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t. Just because trannies play my favorite game now, doesn’t make me ashamed to play it. And maybe some of them are better than me, but that’s fine too. At the end of the day, I don’t walk around wearing a girl’s skirt with a men’s hentai tshirt. So all in all, I’m the winner.

If the bridget character didn't exist completely guilty gear would still feel 3 steps from being yaoi. It gives me a sickly feeling, and it isn't just its tranime artstyle. just look at this:

This is a male character. I get the gown but whats with the girly lavender haircut? If a male character in this series doesn't look like this it looks like yaoi or bara shit. Japan's weird flippant delving into homosexuality is clearly a holdover of them being pederasts hundreds of years ago

Otokonoko is a fetish for heterosexual men
It's a guy, that's gay if you fuck him. You are gay. Did you see the more realistic styled character portrait where he's clearly a fucking dude?

Messy gray/white mop hair doesn't really strike me as "girly" but then again I'm not a schizo constantly checking to see if I'm looking at some "secretly coded gay" thing like some political twitter users did from the time right before corona lockdowns and still continue to do in pretentious youtube video essays.

Guilty Gear from the first game was already 3 steps from yaoi with the male cast. Even with them being obviously big muscular men.

You gotta look at the patterns dude. It's in the cards. Also the hair clearly has a purple hue, it's not the lighting or shading

Men being healthy is the opposite of being gay, even if men who happen to be gay have a stereotype of being fit.

"cards"? That looks like a cancer patient kid, I can't look at bed ridden greyed out limp guy and think "ah yes he wants to fuck guys" I think he's just like dying.

What I'm surprised about is there's a trans character in Granblue Fantasy Versus (also an ArcSys game) and I've never heard troons screech as loudly about that. Or at all for that matter.

Guilty Gear with Sol and KY had gotten the same not!yaoi humor grief Street Fighter gotten with Ken and Ryu at least back in the 90ies

Looking at his wiki page, it's something about his body being unable to handle his vast intellect and has to be in an induced coma. Also looking at his rule34 page and while it is doing better than Dustborn. You're in the majority of people not wanting to fuck him.

It's been very clearly shown time and time again that whenever this shit happens that they only care about retroactively transing out the "popular" or "main" characters in media, it's like the troon version of the "subverting expectations" shit hollywood's been doing the last decade where they turnthe OG protagonist into sad loser and then have new shitty character replace old one or just fuck up the character if they can't replace the MC. Sometimes both of these converge, and the bridget situation is kinda like a convergence of the two because the characterizaitons super fucked up in the new game compared to every game before, with the "grooming was actually ok cause i was trans the whole time" shit being partly the reasoning for that.
