But what kind of bulb will you use so you aren't walking in the dark? This thread was incredibly illuminating.
Don't worry, I will see myself out.
And you DO realize that post is from 2 years ago, correct?
There is a major issue with incandescents being banned. They are cheap and easy to manufacture, meaning more competition and this threatens the lightbulb cartel (yes thats real). LEDs flicker worse than fluorescents without added hardware in them due to AC. Incandescents also have naturally high CRI ratings compared to LEDs and fluorescents unless you get more expensive bulbs. It also mimics "fire light" much better so causes less sleeping problems for humans and are less likely to cause migraines in those who are prone. Despite the argument "LEDs last longer" its simply untrue, well made incandescents are able to last indefinitely and the idea they don't come from shitty manufactured christmas lights and not screw in bulbs. Its difficult to find LED bulbs which mimic incandescents well and aren't just low CRI "yellow" leds.>Being this energy inefficient
get the fuck off my board with your 90's kids nostalgia over fucking lightbulbs and get a life jesus christ

I haven't heard of either of these before, but now I'm actually curious. What would you recommend as a good incandescent light bulb?Despite the argument "LEDs last longer" its simply untrue, well made incandescents are able to last indefinitely and the idea they don't come from shitty manufactured christmas lights and not screw in bulbs.
