A failed viral marketing campaign involving steelseries, girls and mean male gamers in CSGO @ 2018? it's like they didn't learned from Team Siren fiasco.

Now allegedly, all of the money that the headphones that steelseries will sell will go to a charity because of damage control, whatever man/woman decided that this would be a good idea is so fired within 3 months

Someone posted this to twitter and holy shit, i recognize this folder naming format. My previous job had the same fucking thing, it has to be a standard.

Take the above highlighted text, and split it by the forward slashes. I'll try and explain (for anyone clueless, this is a location to a file on your pc).


Volumes: Let me see all the hard drives in the server.

CREATIVE_SAN: Total creative: https://totalcreative.com/. An agency based in san fran, and who outsourced everything for this project.

JOBS: self-explanatory

01899_steel_sieres_cannes (this is very interesting):
-"01899" is the job number internally assigned by FCB Chicago, or whoever did the media editing.
-"steel_sieres_cannes" is where it come from. It was a job by steel series, and cannes was where it happened.


"05_graphics" is a sorting rule. Usually if you look in this folder you'll see folders like "01_documents", "02_sounds", "03_videos" and so forth. It's an easy way to sort assets you need for the project.

Lets go back to that "this is very interesting" phrase i said in brackets. I'm taking out the job number because that means fuck all to anyone. But we do have the words "steel series" and "cannes". This would suggest the project was for steel series, filmed in cannes.

Google search "steel series" and "cannes" and it leads you to the twitter account @LeHiveBar: http://archive.is/BmCQH. Searching steel series shows the bar made a hashtag with steel series included, having a lan party in a video. This is very recent.

Here's where i can't confirm it, but notice this bar has a lot of exposed brickwork. In this video, look to the far right wall when it focuses in on the crowd: https://clips.twitch.tv/BloodyImpossibleIcecreamSeemsGood

There is a wad of exposed brickwork, which would suggest Le Hive Bar has a viewing basement. They probably have cinema nights, gaming events, all sorts in there. This "troll hunters" reaction video was likely recorded there.

Edit: I've only just watched her video. Her dermal piercing on her cheek looks fresh, aggravated or rejecting. Even with studio lights it looks proper raw.

Well, I think this whole shitshow has already exceeded expectations. I don't know what made Steelseries think this was a good idea, but I can't imagine their sales are going to increase after this. Who the fuck is going to buy a headset with that re.tarded logo on it?

Who wasn't teabagged in Halo or any FPS? By their standards almost all gamers have perpetuated and been victims of "gaming sexual violence." Hell, even female gamers would teagbag other players' characters after pawning them.

It's too late, boycott steelseries is already trending. This is fucking hilarious. You would think this would have been done by an unrelated company that didn't know gamers but steel series doing this is fucking incredible.

They not only lost whatever money they put into this but burned down their entire customer base which includes actual female gamers who love the shit talk because they felt like bully hunters were treating them like babies.

Also called this for being fake as dogshit.
