Butch Hartman Oaxis Shitshow

Actually, while I think at some point I was a bit too harsh on the guy for his christianity-related controversy, since it can be said that the reason Hartman didn't adress LGBT stuff, was because he didn't want to make controversy/take it seriously (and it's not nearly as worth to nitpick him for stuff such as his conception of introverts, as someone like John K.), it's kin, Butch's reactions to our thoughts were really mean. And despite PieGuy's conspiracy theory about Butch turning others to Christians being really lame, even though I really like PieGuy's videos, I can't blame most of you for thinking Butch was a terrible guy.

I mean, the way I see it, he may not be a scam artist, but he is someone who is way too ambitious about his projects (to the point he thinks he can do no wrong, since he made two childhood shows), and can't handle properly accusations against him, whether they are true or not.

Now, about Oaxis itself, I think it will be a failure. Like, this guy is really pushing himeslf way too hard to make all sorts of content, instead of starting by making small steps, like Walt Disney f.e., which would be really advisable, since by doing otherwise, he just gives us the impression he wants to make the new Netflix overnight. Which is a shame, since his intentions of making a streaming service which could be really supportive to its customers is really good (even if you could argue that Netflix is also really supportive).

Overall, I regard Butch as a brilliant animator, whose confidence after being respectful to the animation industry people, just grew too much. Like, he has the ability to get rip of his recent mistakes, and is not nearly as terrible as John K. (I may repeat myself, but it's true).

What the fuck is the point of commenting on a dead topic?

A year later and Butch still has no plan lined up, has a reel of clips from content that he will never get the rights to stream on his website, has the vague "you're part of our family" language taking up 98% of his webpage, and is probably going to be asking for more money soon.

I forget, do /co/mblr actually like this scamming, tech-illiterate boomer or are they just ironyposting at PieGuy’s expense?

Butch is conservative, that’s enough to sway some anons sometimes I guess.
So is Sargon, doesn’t make either of them “sacred cows”

Though, I won’t deny that PGR’s gay rights argument was cringy 41FE768D-B9F4-4FE8-8B7C-A9BD1E44F743.jpeg

I think it's a mix of both, but I've seen them also rag on about butch even without PieGuy's involvement (Oaxis really was that big a deal on /co/ then). So who really knows.

All I know is that Butch really needs to give this up. At the rate things are going, he'd be better off crawling back to Nick.

I no longer care about the “Christian” aspect of it, I’m more concerned that it’ll burn horribly, because DisneyPlus is basically the same idea with way more money behind it

Not to mention the VeggieTales guys are basically doing the same thing as Butch. But even if this wasn't Christian-based, Butch would never get it off the ground- He doesn't have the time, money or resources to even attempt it.
