lol You are also lucky you are probably from an older generation that didn't have so much shit, I'm 21 and gleefully exposed myself to the most disgusting degeneracy online since I was 11, and as a result I'm a gross degenerate now, and I'm sure newer generations will just keep getting worse.

I can't wait to live in times were even fucks like Caden will say things are going too far.

Reading that original post, and, Lord. The spiral downwards by Caden is both sickening and saddening to me. That doesn't mean he no longer deserves it, but it hits close, saw a friend troon out almost like this. I can only hope that my friend isn't doing weird shit right now. :(

I am so sick of the sharty niggers and a-logs who blur the line between "Internet Justice" and cow tipping. I swear, whenever stories like this pop up on a feature I feel dread, because I KNOW "Sharty" is gonna appear at some point showing how they basically ruin a teenager's life. Guy's still incredibly young, he ain't like say yandev who's a sick fuck nearly in his fourties. Yet they treat him like one. I'm not gonna defend his actions, once you turn 18 your actions are your own and you pay for the consequences as you see fit, but jesus fucking christ involving the parents and constantly tormenting them with their son's nudes and dox is something that'll always make me MATI. Oh no, and then it's OUR FAULT, because we're the EEEBIL BOOGEYMEN WHO SWAT AND DOX TROONS! God I'm mad.

I know cows never change, but seeing this spiral down into insanity on someone so young really hits hard for me, and I just hope his parents are okay.

I hate how this is a major problem nowadays. I've said it in other threads, but unrestricted access to the internet is a fucking mistake, especially for children back then.

Yeah but this is going to be normalized by default, nothing we can do about it, you see kids as young as 4 perpetually glued to their devices and if you don't give your child one they will be the only loser at school without a phone and will suffer for it, specially nowadays that a smartphone is vital even for many basic jobs.

Parents can try to restrict the content their kids watch online but that never works because the kids are more tech savy than the parents, my parent surely tried to use dumb stuff like parental control settings but I worked around that extremely easily.

This is actually not true on today's standards. Maybe they are savvy on what meme brainrot culture is about nowadays, they don't even know how to print a piece of paper or how to use anything that isn't an iPhone/iPad, and before you call me a retard boomer "haha book good phone bad" I want you to actually look these things up. I'm not saying it as a way to go "Muh new generation" or some shit, it's reality (Example; How jack black's kid spent like half a million on a smurfs game).

It's why it's so infuriating parents do not wanna give a fuck about their kids. It's not like they know how to use a computer to bypass the restrictions or be super hackers or some dumb shit like that, they barely know how to use youtube and xitter on their phones as is

I'd rather my kid be made fun of for not having a cool phone by some jackasses at school than hand them over to weirdo pedos on the internet. You need to learn to roll with punches anyway, that's part of life. Some other little timmy doesn't approve of what phone you have or don't have, who cares? He's a shithead.

It's basically a public space full of the worst types of people and should be seen as such but because it's "not real life" so many people don't see it as a threat to a developing mind, that's where parents fuck up, not that they don't understand how to set up a working proxy (which isn't enough, in my opinion anyway, there should be only one family computer in a shared space, there really isn't any reason for young kids to have their own devices, this would also help with entitlement since they'd have to share it with other family members).

I think we're going to see a turn in how internet and use of tech for kids is seen. As many who have been exposed to the worst it has to offer have their own kids and the effects of kids basically neglected and left to fuck around with nothing but a screen all day for years is studied more.

I mean you still have the responsability to avoid getting your kid groomed, if you have a positive relationship with them and they respect you OR you know them good enough to realize something is happening this can be preventable, but most modern parents want the i-pad to act as their kids actual parent and thus the kids look for parental figures on pedo tranny discord servers, twitter or even worse, they end up seeing @Null as their daddy.

Just not giving them a phone won't stop them from joining the web behind your back one way or another in their teens, my mother used to take away my laptop and phone for weeks sometime as punishment when I was like 10, the ugly truth is that most parents, specially Millenials suck.

I'd like to make a point to not underestimate how resourceful children can be. They're dumb but not stupid, unironically. Only reason kids nowadays don't know how to use computers is because you don't need to know how to use computers to use the computers anymore, but by restricting their internet access you're giving then incentive to learn how to use computers. Speaking from experience :)

I'm not sure. With the mom going along with it and the dad (allegedly) shutting him out completely, I have to wonder whether both parents just chose different ways not to face the fact that they failed to protect their son. I think a lot of parents say "you can come to me with anything" but don't have the imagination to understand the scope of that promise.

Some parents, when faced with something potentially disturbing that their kids bring to them, would rather choose not to understand their children rather than deal with the reality of whatever that thing is. I'm sure that many people who've come to embrace ideas etc that are taboo to their folks, or had some serious and disturbing problem, have dealt with this; this is especially so if it threatens the parents' worldview and sense of security in it. To some parents willful ignorance can be more important than understanding your son, even if that understanding could help him.

I won't accuse anybody of anything, though. I don't know what happened. Maybe dad tried the best he could.
