Yeah, but in San Diego it's a bunch of useless boots. Pendleton is what you have to watch out for :D
 
Just an FYI to all the people mentioning California water rights: Los Angeles would be fucked. The San Francisco Bay Area has it's own water supply in the form of mountain runoff into the Hetch Hetchy reservoir, and further up north there are independent water sources (lake / rivers / streams / wells). Not sure where the Central Valley gets theirs.

Some guy came up with a plan to split CA into 6 states a couple election cycles ago, so water rights were detailed at the time by the measure's opponents.

Not to mention that NAVSPECWARCOM is also down in Coranado. Marines and SEALs are not exactly who you want in your backyard if you plan on hostilities with the U.S.

Besides, what will America lose if California somehow, in a snowball's chance in hell, secedes? LA? Good riddance, then!

Plus, it's alot easier to import food or grow it somewhere else than it is to import water.

Especially when the only place you can get your water from, you just gave a big fucking middle finger to by seceding.
 
Oh, one other thing about geography versus military base in San Diego: folks forget that the entire western boarder is made up of the rocky mountains, with a very limited amount of single lane roads or tunnels bored thru. Its actually very defensible because there's no way to get relief troops in if those are blocked / blown.

Not defending the movement in anyway, just pointing out that water rights and defense are way less of an issue than people think.

Defense is a big issue because the only people who have guns in this state will either leave for the US or march on Sacramento to tell those stuff shirts whose in charge now.
