@30+GameOvers Funny thing about Vanguard;
To throw in my two cents about the current CoD series; I will say that MW2019 was probably the most fun out of all of them, but I still find it to be pretty damn boring nowadays. Like, it's not a bad game, but the focus on Warzone drained a LOT of the fun out of it, and the rest of the games afterwards just continued going downhill. Cold War was dull, Vanguard was the worst game I've played, MWII was boring, MWIII was only fun as long as you'd could stomach nonstop Shipment. Not even sure about grabbing BO6 right now, honestly; the Warzone integration just keeps fucking everything over. Especially with just how much crap I have to download just to play the damn games...
As for the two games between IW and Warzone's bitches; BO4 was fun for a while, but it definitely got draining... especially when you notice that the game is surprisingly woke (the one black guy being ridiculously overpowered, Battery looking like a dike, frequent comments on Capitalism in Zombies, the Militia map about a black ops unit icing a bunch of stereotypical right-wingers that're covertly backed by Russia, etc.). Meanwhile, WWII... the Campaign and Zombies just felt boring, and I wanted to enjoy the Multiplayer, but political crap like the Germans getting shafted in the customization department and the gender flag calling cards all got tiring, to say nothing of the actual gameplay. Granted, I do want to make one last shot at that game, but...
There was a YouTuber who did a few videos about how historically accurate the WW2 CoD games were. Surprisingly, WaW was technically the least accurate, having a surprisingly high amount of missed details, though the vast majority of those were fairly minor; i.e., wrong tank or plane models, uniform inaccuracies, weapon details, that sort of thing. That said, the actual feel and designs of the game were still pretty solid, and it was noted to be an excellent portrayal of the conflict; the Russian-German conflict was praised for pointing out just how fucked the whole thing was, in particular. Put simply, it was least accurate in finer details, but by far the most accurate in terms of grittiness and tone.
Meanwhile, Vanguard was noted to be a little better with the finer details... but the VAST majority of the larger details, such as the portrayal of Stalingrad, the characterization of just about every character, the Nazis in general, etc., were all noted to be outright fake. While a number of smaller points were decent, such as some gun designs, the entire rest of the game was noted to be more of a blatant propaganda piece made by woketards. Special mention goes to the all-black military unit in the Japanese missions; they were a real albeit obscure unit, but they were more used for a labor source and their few combat missions were noted for having VERY high casualty rates from a general lack of combat training, in comparison to Vanguard which tries to portray them as this black ops unit (no pun intended) led by a sociopathic asshole. Also, the relations between the British and Australians; in-game, the Brits are all pompous assholes, while IRL they were VERY fond of their Australian allies, to the point where I'm pretty sure at least one guy moved there after it was all over.
Funny how a game that was touted as "historically accurate" ended up demonizing everyone, including the people it was supposedly praising.
Anyways, sorry for sperging; just a bit of a WW2 nerd, here.
