Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

Funny enough, my hype for MWII has dropped significantly. I think I'm still going to buy it, but I'm not pre ordering it and might even wait a week or two.
Same. I'm guessing hype from MW2 carried over with MWII. I'll just wait until Game Pass.

MW2 was cinematic, MW2019 was dramatized. It tried to be a movie if that makes sense.

It looks cool, but IDK Vanguard has really soured me on CoD and I didn't even play it.

I also thought it was going to be far more Sicario than what it seems. But I also haven't been paying much attention since June. The few Youtubers I follow seem to post more speculation and Vanguard shit than solid info on MWII.

I enjoyed the last MW, so I'll get the new one.

CW never really did it for me. I played a bit but despite a good PC, the MP never ran smoothly for me. Felt choppy. Frequently those situations where enemies just seem to appear and kill me before I can react. As if the game was updating player movements at too slow a rate. Tick rate?

Vanguard was alright but didn't play much.

I'll be waiting for MWII to arrive on Game Pass to save myself $70, hopefully the deal will close before the game releases.

Not enough consooming, you need to drop another 300$ to look like an anime waifu
Once Operation: Harsh Doorstop is released I hope people will make tacticool anime girls playermodels.

The campaign looks so fucking boring. When I saw that quick sequence with the characters rappelling a skyscraper I started having CoD Ghosts flashbacks.
I'm going to skip this year's CoD and watch not-Eight Thoughts shit on it.

They're bringing Khaled AL Asad, Rourke from Ghosts, Raul Menedez and the bitch from black ops 3.

Neat I guess.

'member when Sam Maggs said that CoD had no iconic characters until Vanguard?
Why can't they come up with original characters for the new season?

Tell me you don't play CoD without saying you don't play CoD.

I could name five iconic characters off the top of my head.

Well, on one hand the villains aren't that memorable, Al Asad shows up once before you kill him, Zackiev as well. Makarov is good, Shepherd is great. Raul Menendez is one of the best in the franchise.
I like advanced warfare because it gives us Kevin Spacey only pretending to he a villain.

I mean name five iconic characters in general.

Marakov, Captain Price, Sgt. Griggs, Hudson, Frank Woods.

Hmm, there was the Black OC soldier and the strong, independent Russian sniper. Uh... Oh, and that German dude.
You know, the Russian sniper woman was supposed to be a woman who's so obsessed with revenge that it's all she can focus on, but it's so poorly done and she's so unlikable and cruel, it made me sympathetic towards Nazis of all things.

I just beat the campaign and at the end, it gives you the option to spare the main nazi, but if you do, Polina says fuck it and sets the man on fire and allows him to burn to death.

A bullet to the head with a drawn out speech would've sufficed. Damn.

Vanguard isn't even in the trailer for this season.

You think this cements the rumors that Warzone 2 isn't going to have any real connection to the stand alone games and just be a free for all?
