There are still graphical glitches during the matchmaking screen that have been there since day fucking one.

Last night I tried to play with friends, and the game just lagged the fuck out the whole time. At first I thought it was some hacker/modder shit because the times it would lag were awfully convienient, but it literally happened every game. I know there's a ton of cheaters but that many?

This game is starting to become a disaster on par with Halo Infinite IMO

It's kinda crazy to think that MW2 is already in a worse state than fucking Vanguard. Kinda glad that I stuck to my guns and not buy it. This 2 year game won't last a year at this rate. I think that's why now they are getting sledgehammer to release a game this year.

This has got to be 100% made up. I refuse to believe that following the abortion that was Vanguard, that anybody would ask them to crank out ANOTHER game in just a year. That's beyond fucking retarded.

i haven't played a call of duty sense xbox 360 mw3 and i think to my self ill toon in to this new one it looks good haven't played a call of duty in years. what a fucking mistake that was.

Their literal focus is in Warzone 2. They almost cannibalized themselves with the original Warzone. That said, I think the battle royale genre is declining in popularity.

It was never going to be a 2 year game. It was always going to be by Sledgehammer. The rumor just changed from being a premium DLC to a premium release.

I'm glad you stuck to your guns. My new favorite meme around this is that they went with the roman numerals because everyone is now saying "I...I really regret buying this game."

It is. It's been almost a decade, or has been a full decade if you count the release of DayZ: Battle Royale.

These trends never last much longer than a generation and a half of gaming. I'd argue Battle Royale would have burned out sooner if it hadn't been for Covid.

Don't quite regret purchase, but the game is definitely not getting any additional pennies from me. MW2019 and CW managed to provide enough fun and engagement to the point about being okay burning 20$ each. I can not say the same for MWII, despite spending a metric fuck ton of time playing DMZ with friends.

Just finished the original Spec Ops on MW2019. What a miserable experience. Enemies spawning all around you and defending a point is not engaging gameplay. I didn't even know or noticed that it supposedly takes place after MW2019's single player.

The new island for DMZ is somehow really good. The AI feels challenging but fair, they seem to have actual accuracy decline the further away you are, they don't seem omniscient to your presence, the terrain doesn't make it a haven for griefer sniper fags, the amount of teams allowed on it makes it not a horrible mess for going in solo.

Then you play the old map, and somehow all the worst parts of it have been made even worse. AI are sniping you with shotguns, one hit and you're losing a plate and a half, they seem to detect you through walls, infinite spawning, etc. etc.

It's ridiculous how they can't seem to get this shit right.

Al Masra was hit n miss but more often than not, it was fun and rewarding. After the latest update, guns are weaker, more enemies with heavier armor constantly spawn in, and the helicopter audio randomly just doesnt occur. I enjoy a challenge, not impossible odds and glitches. Some improvements like plating up and reloading quicker are noticeable. I'm sure they'll get to tweaking stuff.

It's been 3 god damn months they've should have been tweaking this whole time.

Which CoD games do you guys think are worth picking up these days? On PS4; I've got BO4 and I'm actually enjoying it, same with WW2 to some extent. Had MW2019 a while back, great game. I also had Cold War for a bit; I haven't touched it since I think Season 3? Think I should give it another shot?

From what I've seen here, I might pass on MWII for now, until they - hopefully - get some shit fixed.

Also, how's Vanguard doing these days? I know the campaign was pretty shit, same with zombies from what I heard; is the multiplayer at least decent? I really haven't kept up with that game.

I know it will never happen because it's a Treyarch map, but hear me out.

Remake The Pines Mall, but in the modern day where it's a dead, abandoned creepy mall.

The kids will love it being a "liminal space" and all.

Edit: Going back to Cold War was a mistake because it makes MW2022 seem so much more lackluster. The intros to maps and the music in general was just so much better. I hardly even notice the music in MW2022.

It's so quaint thinking about how much people bitched about Cold War when it launched.

Strange, that's a quality I fucked hated about cold war. I can forgive MW2019 and MW2022 for wasting 10 seconds before each map with characters showing up in vehicles because its trying to establish a mood (even though that mood is gone instantly as players start bunny hopping around corners), but when Cold War does it it feels like a desperate attempt to copy MW2019 but adding 80s action movie flair so you can't call them copycats.

I prefer the third person intros to maps. I would actually think normies would prefer this too because of how important buying operators/skins are.

But yeah, the intro music in MW2019 was also leagues better than 2022 now that I'm revisiting it as well.

Anyone see the supposed leaks from the Activision hack? Apparently we may only get 5 seasons, 3 weapons a season and only 2 6v6 maps per season.
Of course, each season will have around 70 bundles available for sale *rolls eyes*

Maybe, but I found 90% of the operators skins in the game fucking ugly eyesores. And most of the gun blueprints in the store too. Hell, even cosmetics for MW2022 have been boring and lackluster so far.
