Maybe, but I found 90% of the operators skins in the game fucking ugly eyesores. And most of the gun blueprints in the store too. Hell, even cosmetics for MW2022 have been boring and lackluster so far.

Just wait; they're gonna glitter-bomb our eyes out with some ugly shit later on down the line.

Yeah, but I'm talking about Gen Z normies. They love that gaudy shit and you'd think they'd want to see what they paid 20+ dollars for.

Guess I'm giving them too much credit tho

It's so quaint thinking about how much people bitched about Cold War when it launched.
I still can't understand why. CW fixed everything I hate about CoD, from campaign to multiplayer. All it lacked was good cosmetics. My cod fanboy buddy (may he get a cactus hair every day for the year for talking me into buying MW2) still hates it, claiming it was too camp heavy, which blows my fucking mind.

I'll never understand Infinity Ward fags and their obsession with Call of Duty being "realistic" when all of the games are glorified arcade shooters and the original Modern Warfare was built to be like Michael Bay action blockbusters.

The first one was maybe realistic-ish because those were popular when it came out. The rest of them are pure linear arcade games.

So I bought this for the Campaign as the COD single players have been a good 6 hour popcorn gaming session. But this...this just lacks soul; there's nothing fun about the campaign and there are far too many hard restarts because there are civilians in the area. What utter junk.

I couldn't stand the multiplayer, every match played out identically where both teams would just camp one lane and wait for somebody to lose patience and push only to die. I don't think I ever finished a game of tdm or kill confirmed that ended because of score.

The campaign was good, but I can't say it did much to get me invested.

Zombies was where I spent most of my time, and while I liked a lot of the changes they made from past games, there were tons of issues.
  • Huge gaps between round based maps. Outbreak didn't help with this, as it was aggravating constantly getting the same map because selecting your start map is too hard to program. Also, it's long and gets boring fast.
  • Guns were introduced with colossal bugs. On 2 seperate occasions, sniper rifles were added and their pack-a-punch versions lost penetration for no fucking reason. Crossbow and nail gun had 0 aim assist on console. Nail gun when pap had a bug where when you ads, you'd snap to zombie knees, making it pointless to ads.
  • If you kill too many zombies too fast, you create an immortal invisible zombie that will harass you until you die.
  • Anytime anything was considered a bit too op, the devs beat it to death with nerfs. Electric ammo kills a ton of zombies easily? Reduce its range, increase its cooldown, make it survivable.
Fun mode, and I liked it, but Jesus Christ the devs put more effort into not testing instead of making the game fun

Ghosts was fun only for extinction. The multiplayer wasn’t nearly as bad as the whiners claimed it was and the maps actually changing because you called in a nuke was a welcome innovation that was never tried again.
For ONE map, I recall: Strikezone. Actually, a fun map. I loved how Ghosts introduced the Cranked game mode. Get kills to stay alive or you go kaboom. Extinction was meh, nothing to write home about.

Ghosts also had several PvE modes, you could make your own squad with the characters you unlocked via the prestige system.

I doesn't matter which lane you pick, each one will have at least one asshole laying down in a corner with a stoner and thermal sight to gun you down the instant he sees you.
Couldn't flash em? Use smoke + cold blooded? Jump and shoot?

I played a lot of Cold War, I don't recall this being nearly as much of an issue as other Call of Duty games. Well maybe a bit on Nuketown but that's nuketown.

COD2 best campaign, and I refuse to accept any others.

Okay, except World at War.

Something I just noticed, Modern Warfare 2019's boot up screen is now Warzone Caldera. Modern Warfare 2019 now has a boot up screen associated with a World War 2 game.
