Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

XDefiant is not a direct competitor to CoD now. Ubisoft will find some way to mess it up.
While it is true Ubisoft will eventually ruin it, XDefiant is not just a competitor but a successor to COD multiplayer. Every new entry sees less and less players, more hackers, more sweats, and more ridiculous ways to bleed your cash while content gets worse every year. XDefiant plays like an oldschool COD game, and that's what's going to bring over all the people who have left the franchise. This alone will keep it relevant for a few years, especially if BO6 bombs.

BO6's pre-order bonuses leaked.
Woods is the operator you get in MW3, comes with 3 skins
(In Order) Zombie Woods, Classic Woods and Number Woods.

We also got a look at the vault edition for BO6, you get 4 skins, One for Park, One for Adler and two unknown operators.
On top of that we also have the confirmation that gobblegums are returning for zombies.

There's also the fallout crossover, it's literally just the 141 boys in vault suits that say 141 on the back lol

There is a Fallout event in Fortnite as well. I think I hate Fallout being whored out like this more than I hate the current state of COD: One was an inevitability past a certain point(at least with Activision) and the other was perfectly avoidable and 100% premeditated.
My thoughts I posted earlier haven't changed, I couldn't care less about Single/Multi but Zombies is going to have to do some real heavy lifting this year, simple member berries aren't it.
Also, it should not be forgotten that Black Ops 4 had Gobblegums in all but name, and they were really jewed out compared to how they were handled in BO3: Harder to earn, smaller pool of abilities, some basic or even free gobblegums were premiums all of a sudden, and we had introduction of Talismans: One-time use items to be slapped on classes that would give an instant or passive bonus when the game started, but be consumed when the match starts. Those were even more limited than gobblegums, so there was no reason to ever use them unless you were going for easter eggs or high rounds, as you would never reasonably have a surplus for repeat attempts...unless you paid up with microtransactions, of course.

We've seen the ridiculous monetization in COD as of late: Battlepases with barely anything in them and Blackcell passes containing things people actually want on the side, 25$-30$ bundles being the norm now when even a few years ago the very idea would have been laughed out, 80-100$ skins and the list goes on.
If anything, gobblegums returning makes me worry even more, as it is likely an order from Activision to make more rather than a genuine gameplay decisions. Remember, Vonderhaar was AGAINST loot crates in Black Ops 3, but his hand was forced by Activision, it's probably the same scenario in BO6. I can only imagine how awful the monetization will be this year with Zombies. For all we know, they will bring SBMM and rigged connections in order to "incentivize" people into buying Zombies bundles. That would factually ruin Zombies, even Vanguard was only bad due to lack of content/polish/bad design and boring maps, but if the foundation itself is flawed, then no amount of additions or new maps will even matter.

And that Vonderhaar fag is also the reason why there are operators and supers because he liked Destiny.

Niggas complaining about sweats but using XDefiant as a shining beacon of "fun" gameplay are actually mentally stunted. XDefiant is soooooooo much like old school cod with such examples like.

>Splinter Cell faction that provide free wall hacks
>Spastic movement like constantly crouching/adadadad strafing mid gun fights extremely prevalent already
>its like old cod weapon balance wise since everything not a sniper, AR, or SMG sucks donkey dick
>Art style is all over the place since they throw in random ubislop factions barely anyone wants (Libertad? Dedsec?)

How the fuck does Kiwi get the XD defense force I dont even know. What actually brought old COD fans back was modern warfare 2019 a game that realized gimmicks like hero shooter or advanced movement wasnt what was needed to advance the franchise.

So, out of curiosity, I managed to pick up a copy of Black Ops 3 again today, decided to give it another shot. Started with the Multiplayer, and... well, it wasn't the best; first few matches had Host Migrations before they even started, and the rest either had random lag spikes throughout, or were dominated by people with Supply Drop weapons. Not helped by the game taking a while to actually find matches; there's not many people playing the game on PS4/5 these days.

As for Zombies... well, it's Zombies. I admit, BO3 was never my cup of tea - WaW to BO2 was more my style - but it's still a solid game mode. SOE does feel more complex than the previous Zombie modes, which is a stickler for me; I don't hate it, but it feels like I need to do certain things at certain times to get properly set up, while the previous CoDs just felt... simpler, I guess.

I dunno, the game just feels "meh" for me right now. I hope it can get better once I get my Multiplayer profile leveled a bit (currently 18), and as for Zombies... I dunno, just keep playing?

You guys think the DLCs are worth it?

Chronicles yes, but if your main complaint about zombies is complexity then I’d steer clear of the season pass maps

Shadows of Evil is my favorite Zombies experience yet. I love the 1940s esque speakeasy theming of the world and characters. If you know me, take a guess of my favorite character...

Now they just need to put out an elementary school map and the trannies will have true representation
Funny you say that, that first combat level from MW2 is my personal favorite in CoD history. You're protecting a bridge, then you're fighting Afghan soldiers inside a small school. You cannot get anymore raw than that.

Some faggot doxed me on X because i said it was dumb Activision is adding in more LGBTQ stuff. Even brought up my dead grandpa. We need to gatekeep gaming more to keep retarded fucks like the Alphabet Soup fuckers out of gaming.
How do you manage that unless you have your name ON your X account?
