Thanks for reminding me. I believe I'm 8th or 9th prestige in progress of those prestige challenges involving objective modes. I took an hiatus from Call of Duty because of MWII's SBMM and Black Ops 6's absurdity to play other games.

AFK from a match or AFK on the splash screen? I've seen five matches where there were at least two AFK players at a time during the Beavis and Butthead event. What is the incentive to do that? (No, I haven't seen the video. Content like that seems like outrage rage-bait. Nero is beginning to be that way too.)

I did finish both the Beavis and Butthead pass (no, I did not buy it) and the CoDToons event with America Dad. That mastery skin is ugly as hell.

Anyway, I watched halfway through his video. His demeanor is just not for me. Just because I would agree with something, doesn't mean I would agree with how it's presented.

You know what they say: give the people what they want. I don't know how far Activision will go with this franchise, but as proven, time will well. The WWII PC exploit from Game Pass would normally be major news for any other software, but because it's video games, people don't take it as seriously. That's why movements like Stop Killing Games are happening.

Cold War's campaign is actually a good one. I definitely liked the one mission where it turns into an immersive sim where you have multiple ways to obtain a key card to let your buddies in a Soviet government building. I wish that Black Ops 6 didn't retcon the events of Bell. Leaving it open ended would've been a perfect ending.

The difference between COD and BG3 is that COD is complete shit and the last remaining fans are lemmings with zero preservation instincts who will be abused by Activision no matter what they put into it. BG3 on the other hand is a genuinely good game that culture warriors failed to to slow down in any capacity. Nobody cares that you can get fucked by a bear if the game is genuinely one of the few good CRPGs to date, meanwhile COD is bottom of the barrel in the world of FPS and has been for years now, it is only afloat by the staggering amount of mentally retarded people with no control over their wallet/little kids with their mommy's credit card.

That said, the "Classified" option in the gender field in Cold War is quite literally meaningless, it's a typical COD campaign where you either play as a guy or a girl and it's actually one of the best ones in the recent years, with an actual zombies styled easter egg you need to complete to get the best ending, side objectives/missions, alternative endings, ect. We haven't seen anything like this since BO2, and predictably nu-MW and later titles shit the bed.

BO3 and BO4 are running fine for me and Infinite Warfare might be one of the more optimized games I have on my SSD right now, genuinely surprising. I can't speak for the rest of them, altho I remember COD4 also running fine. Maybe that's just an issue with the newer games, which isn't surprising since they run like shit on consoles too.

Call of Duty on PC should be illegal to sell. It's clear that engaging into the software itself without community patches is dangerous for the consumers' personal machines. It's practically buying malware.

Here's Black Ops 6 running at over 100 fps on a GTX 970 + Ryzen 5 4500..

Given that COD is designed to run at 60 fps on PS4, if you're not getting a playable frame rate, your computer is probably broken.

I have an RX 6600 and a Ryzen 5 in my rig, don’t get me wrong the game runs fine once it complies shaders but the fact it has to do it at all says a lot about how little Activision gives a shit about the PC playerbase despite being a significant minority of people who play black ops 6, I mostly play on PC but I also have an Xbox to store my live serviceslop like CoD and Halo, it’s honestly shocking how Activision and the wider industry seems so disinterested in PC optimization despite PC Gamings massive growth over the past 5 or so years

Recompiling shaders after an update isn't an optimization issue...more the opposite. Compiling shaders ahead of time rather than on-demand is part of why COD runs so fast on such old hardware.
