Sure, if you discount the other American guns in the game.Battlefield V was supposed to be the British vs. the Germans, a slightly different take on the story.

They were still a massive user even after production of the Sten got ramped up. It was practically indestructible, which is why the Commandoes all swore by it. Bash a Jerry over the head, break a lock open with the butt, get banged up rattling around in a Jeep doing Desert Rat stuff in North Africa, and it would keep going like it was nothing. Oh, and the ammo put 9mm to shame. Was it heavy and a bitch to aim and shoot? Sure, but if you could handle it the payoff was immense. There's a reason Winston Churchill was a big fan.The British military did field the American Thompson, in fact they were the largest user of the weapon until the US entered the 2nd world war.
Haven't touched the singleplayer, only online battles and these are... I don't know, not my pot to be honest. As well as WW2 theme, it's more pleasing to have some fun in modern\slightly far future sets.Battlefield V was supposed to be the British vs. the Germans, a slightly different take on the story.
It went off track the moment they showed that metal arm woman. Nope, the train kept on going until it finally stopped.View attachment 2477841
Well that was the original premise of the game.
It's even eluded to in the original art, that's a BREN, two Enfields, and a Thompson.

Like everything else the game got off track pretty quickly.
It looks like it's MW2019 in a fucking trenchcoat.
I disagree but I respect that opinion. Regardless, BOII was the last good CoD. We all know who to blame for the downfall of the franchise, either MW2 (due to the stark difference between the tone of MW and MW2) or Ghosts (everything was godawful).I feel Black Ops II was the start of mediocrity that plagued the CoD series up until recently.

Don't get me wrong, it was a fun time with multiplayer and campaign. The Pick 10 system was a much needed change for class loadout customization. The maps were distinct enough to be standouts. Hell, they even "fixed" sniping from Black Ops 1. It does reward you through progression with extended weapon usage.
I was largely uninterested with the campaign compared to Modern Warfare 3. I liked the concept of going back and forth with past and future. I had more fun with the past segments than the future; it felt like an extension of Black Ops. Strike Force missions were just multiplayer maps of infinitely spawning enemies.
Best way to describe Black Ops II is throwing everything on the wall and hoping it sticks. The futurist twist, while not bad compared to Black Ops III, felt cliche. I couldn't remember what happened once it all ended. They tried to turn Zombies into an "adventure" mode with TranZit. The execution was horrible. You have to rely on the bus to take you all over the map. There's too many dead spots with that bus mechanic. And don't even get me started on the aesthetic and Easter egg.
You had to buy DLC to get the most out of Zombies. Even so, they relied on players doing complex Easter eggs to fully experience those maps. Not everybody has the time or skill to party up and do outrageous tasks to further your bullshit lore.
DLC, there was a LOT of it with Black Ops II. Weapon camos, calling cards, even extra class slots. In retrospect, it's not as bad compared to what would come afterwards. I'm referring to them adding loot boxes, purchasable currency, P2W weaponry. But, I will argue that Black Ops II started the microtransactions trend that plagued Call of Duty.
Overall, Black Ops II was overrated in my personal experience. Modern Warfare 3 was better.
Literally who cares. More indieshit for me. Hope Replaced is actually fucking good
The score is pretty good. It's just a shame that Bear's talent is wasted on this iteration of CoD.
Just confirms to hold out for multiplayer now. Sledgehammer have a problem with making their campaigns too movie like.Since people brought up MW3 earlier in the this thread, it was also Sledgehammer's first CoD campaign. MW3 was my first modern CoD on PC. I thought the campaign was fine (despite the QTE boss fight) but I wish they had spent more time on the sound design. I've always hated how every weapon sounded the same, it was the complete opposite of Battlefield 3 that released the same year with its "war tapes" sound setting.

As for the gameplay, it's by the numbers again. If the player is going to climb walls in every level then they should just give them a grappling hook and hit another point in their checklist.
Look at how the gaming industry had reacted to six days in Falluejah, I highly doubt itReading up all this shit in Kabul makes me think how crazy it would have been if instead of a stupid ass Zombies invasion leading to you being abandoned and left for dead in Verdansk, they had instead had a shit ton of Al Qatala extremists besiege you at the airport or something.
They'll never get that real again, will they?
Doubtful, Sledgehammer already had this slot and the bullshit Biden & friends caused only happened recently.I'm worried for the next Modern Warfare now.
What if the extra year they allegedly needed wasn't to make the game better, but to redo the story or something?
I doubt it too as it stands MWs story is following the old trilogies plot. MW2019 was basically a prequel to COD 4s plot with slight changes.I'm worried for the next Modern Warfare now.

Right now we will move away from Arabs to Makarovs plot introduction.
Mobiles comics are written by a bunch of chinks who just write shit to be coolDidn't Makarov get killed in the Mobile storyline? I haven't paid attention to it in months but last I saw Mace shot him in the head.
Or is that shit not part of the shared universe? I can't keep track of this shit
I haven't boughten COD CW but is it worth it just for Mauer De Toten? The online looks below average to mediocre too which might be worth it.
No, it's not even remotely worth the price tag. The map isn't as good as older maps in previous games, and there's only 2 other maps to play on when you get bored of Mauer that are about the same quality. Outbreak is cancer, and the game is well known for being the buggiest piece of shit known to man. You're better off buying 60$ of blow and flushing it down the toilet.I haven't boughten COD CW but is it worth it just for Mauer De Toten?
