Can anyone explain the unending Christian spergery since covid?

I was thinking about this today. I am not anti-religous or athiest, i grew up baptist but now i practice what could be best described as ancestor worship. I don't attempt to convert people but i do discuss religion with followers or friends online if the topic comes up. what i've noticed online that there has been a near constant politicized technically unitarian alliance of Christians who happen to be young men and i can't put my finger on it but they don't seem authentic about their faith. It's usually based around we wuzzing about being the real jews or something but when questioned they'll say that they're trying to stop israel or whatever. they both act like jews but are against jews because of the way they act and i don't think they're secretly jewish though? is it some sort of memetic atavism where the ostracizing of Christians lead to them adopting a taqiyya-like thought process or are they just stupid?

The goalposts online have been moved enough that retarded young men think that being on the Christian right is an act of rebellion. For a while, during Obama's early presidency, libertarianism was the cool thing since people could be for pre-marital sex, drugs, and general hedonism while being opposed to the new liberal order that Obama implemented. Then when Trump became a candidate (and to a lesser extent, during Gamergate) many libertarian types went to the alt-lite. Now that the alt-lite is worn out and people are used to it, young men that didn't get to see how similar that the evangelicals were to the woke during the Bush presidency are turning towards the Christian right as their act of rebellion.

But as someone else said, most people aren't doing the trad shit.

Are you talking about European Israelites? Where they say that some of the tribes of Israel sailed away and made it to to Europe where they interbred with the Europeans and that modern-day Jews are actually from the line of Esau? And they believe in "Serpent Theology" which states the beginning of Genesis is actually a symbolic story about race-mixing?

Christian fundies have always been a thing. Though during the days of the alt-right there was quite a bit of cringey Christian LARPing going on. I never really engaged in it too much. I'm also not an atheist or whatever. But I don't go to church and never have. To me religion is more of a political thing. Like the US has a large Christian population so it's worthwhile to pander to them if you want to gain any sort of political power. To pander to an extent of course. I don't think putting up with a lot of the Christian fundie retardation is a good idea. No one really wants to live in a Christian Talban situation. Society does need some sort of moral structure just not all the other shit.

I get that, but this is different, these people are into Christianity like redditors are into comics, they've only seen the movies. i've seen more alex jones and kalergi memes than a argument from the source and they seem to be from differing branches which is really good evidence pointing towards the possibility of them being JIDF bots. i don't want to dox the convo til it's over so if i remember i'll post images here.

Tradcath larping is a natural contrarian reflex to the rise of wokies denouncing western tradition. That said, a cringe larper may become a genuine believer, but I'm not so sure the "baptist to ancestor worshiper" career path can be anything but utterly retarded.
there seem to be some Orthodox people in there too.
Most profitable current grift.
Alot of the people i've noticed outside of twitter doing this sorta Christians are the real jews thing don't seem to be doing it for money or clout. maybe theres dosh to be made but it cant be enough to float a career can it?

"We wuz Jews" is pretty way out there (and spectacularly heretical) for Christians. More along the lines of British Israelites and Black Hebrew Isrealites.

If you're talking supersessionism that's a whole other theological matter.

Grifts are not only about money or clout, but also for human connection, sense of belonging and feelings of moral superiority. The morons doing this are loners who have nothing to their character other than their weird fringe ideology and by radicalizing themselves they attempt to maintain cohesion and feign camaraderie among their group

Naturally. Catholocism and Orthodox are the most visually ostentatious (read: just like my Warhammer 40ks!) so they're the most likely to attract larpers, who are primarily aesthetic-focused. A humble little pasteboard prottie shoebox hardly evokes the same chest-puffing cultural pride as Notre-Dame de Paris.
