I miss Harper despite his flaws he really was one of the best leaders we ever had hopefully we can recover some of that greatness in a future leader although I'm not exactly sure who yet.

There's no real ladder to get into those particular groups. You can "grind" or "hustle" and hope something pans but long hours of labor and careful investing/saving... think those days are at end when starter homes take 30-40 years to save a down payment for. These are the days of windfall profits for asset holders, money printing and mass immigration. You have to do something when you are in the hole, but Canada is the sort of place that pretends "we are all in this together" even though people are quite cleary not and every effort is spent to stifle economic and business activity unless its the 'right' kind.

This is part of why, from everything Ive seen- my take for young people is that they need to get out of Ontario in particular, and I'd presume theres equivilencies in BC as well.

But at the least avoiding areas like the GTA where theres rampant inflation, no houses, no jobs, 30 Indians living in an apartment, rising crime, etc is ideal. I don't mean to tell everyone to move out West or to Alberta, but internal migration is another option that people should consider. I've got family in Northern Ontario I'd consider going back to if leaving the province wasn't an option. There's not really many jobs up there, unfortunately, but at least the housing is better. Things aren't as bad as they're going to get in Ontario in my opinion.

The same way people were warned to get out of Detroit or Gary, Indiana (I do not think we will get that bad), I think that the GTA is on the decline. Perhaps its more comparable to Chicago, as Toronto often is- but I think its on a similar trend and getting out of Chiraq before it became Chiraq is how I'd frame leaving the GTA if you are able.

PET married Margret on March 4, 1971 and Justin was born on Christmas that year so the window for Castro to impregnate her was narrow and I don't know if Trudeau Sr. made any state visits to Cuba at that time. Still, I think it would be darkly humorous if Castro cucked Trudeau, who let it slide because he wanted better relations with Cuba to poke the Americans in the eye.

Also looking into it a little more it's interesting how many articles I come across that have headlines like "No, Trudeau isn't Castro's son" even from Dutch news sources.

The support for the statement seems to be that Trudeau didnt make his visit to cuba until 5 years after and an earlier visit would have been noticed. First, would it? Second, how do we know the visit was in that direction? Third, if news media is this forceful about a point it is rarely true, but almost always just politically expedient.

Castro was a great man. Infamous, notorious, etc. depending on what side of history you were on or however your politics shapes your perspective. Either way, he was a man of gravitas and great historical significance.
