In 2021 I was reading a lot of articles that were conducted through research that talked about Canada having the highest level of poverty in the G7, declining wages and a highly abnormal cost of living. I knew this was all looking abysmal for us. That's pretty much the kiss of death for a country and I saw us becoming a sort of Argentina north. Unfortunately it's true..

We failed. We're done.

This isn't something that's ever going to be fixed. With the amount of foreign cash flow in real estate and the government at every level serving oligarchs this isn't the kind of "mess" that can be cleaned up.

The Canadian dream is to leave.

I’m upset the government refuses to listen to trumps reasonable demands of cracking down on fentanyl being shipped across the borders (on the native reservations)

If anything Canada should be joining America with its complaints about Mexico since Canadian manufacturing was also outsourced to Mexico

Yes they made Canada so unliveable that you can’t live without constant booze from the LCBO and then they hike the prices of the booze (booze is going even higher when they hike the tariffs on Kentucky bourbon)

The Canadian brands of Rye whiskey are all shit and they are trying to tell us it’s compareable to Bourbon

I already purchase Ontario wines because I like supporting local wineries but local whiskies are all shit.

Oh it can be cleaned up but it requires a massive Day of the Rope / Day of the Rake for the Laurentian Elite / Family Compact

I don't expect this to be hugely inflationary but
  1. Clearly Trudeau's cronies are looking for one last chance to raid the treasury
  2. This combined with rates coming down and not in the US is going to really reduce the value of the dollar

They don’t even have a plan, they just want to loot the treasury by screwing over regular old stock White Canadians

If they were serious about stopping the tariffs they would have been in session in parliament all January trying to pass some form of border patrol funding and starting to deport criminal gangs who smuggle drugs (and also steal automobiles from Canadians to sell in Dubai and the Arab gulf states)

It could result in even the most negligible amount of inflation and you'll still see Loblaws crank up their prices 10-20% under the guise of 'muh inflation'. Not to mention the actual ramifications of the tariffs.
