I've heard it kind of depends on your proficiency in French - they can tell when an English person is using Google translate to communicate with them. The people I've spoken to that were born outside of Montreal have said they'd rather you just speak English than poor French - which would make it hard to naturally practice if you were getting an attitude in return.
I think if you were really proficient enough to have a casual conversation, you could easily fit in. Most people I know from there have a very similar attitude to BC and Ontario in particular, they just speak French so no one really knows. In my opinion the Atlantic provinces have a more distinct lifestyle that starts at the border of Quebec and New Brunswick.
For my PL: my ancestry has several French surnames because they were apart of the original settlers of Canada so if I personally moved there I'd probably find ways to name drop my relation to help my situation after learning the language the best I could. It's likely I'd meet people who shared the same surnames or know of people who do (because Canada is inbred, especially the French).
I'm not trying to resettle Quebec as an Anglo-centric territory, I just want to be treated kind of decently by the province and not be surrounded by suburban McMansions filled with heavy immigration at the very least. Montreal has the culture I like, but somewhere just outside of it so it's quiet and I can choose not to deal with the rest of the assholes that vacation there as a tourist destination.
The way I see it, I can either just hang myself for being the result of hundreds of years of generational historical fuck ups or learn French and find a nice shack in the woods of Quebec to live a quiet life. Maybe I can even live the Canadian dream and tap my own sugar maple trees.

That museum already has a huge section dedicated to indigenous, particularly Haida people and other West Coast nations, so that just seems wholly unnecessary. A restaurant of bland and dry food that only old people like. I do remember the Z Burger being really nice though, but that could be chalked up to me being at a location with chefs that gave a damn.

I feel like a lot of issues stem from seniors and natives. For example, there's a pretty big 65+ community development which is where an intelligent city planner would have built another side road, downtown core, and a high school and that seems pretty common. I can always tell when I'm near a reservation because there's no sidewalk, the roads are jagged instead of straight, and there's trailers or slums.

Yes about a hundred years ago to even 75 years Canada was a based place. But western civilization became weaker due to our collective governments.

Short answer: yes.
Forget people looking in from outside, I don't even think Canadians understand just how different this place was within living memory. The only thing the "Canada" of today shares with the one that existed in 1945 is the name. It's a skin-walker, its shoulders adorned with the taxidermied but nonetheless slowly rotting hide of a country that has been dead for decades. I genuinely think the bi-cultural Canada as envisioned in 1867 could have turned out well, and could have avoided a lot of the problems inherent in the US system. But, like I said, it's dead. Not dying: dead, effectively an administrative zone of the woke American campus empire since at least the 1960s. For the more bookish Kiwis, I'd recommend reading George Grant's Lament for a Nation.
Anyway, the Canada of today is absolutely a failed state, for reasons too numerous to list without a wall of autistic text. Owning property is impossible for vast swaths of the population in Canada's key cultural and demographic centres, not even for older-stock immigrants like Pajeets and Flips. It's simply never considered. Owning a house is a quaint curiosity reserved for offshore Chinese multimillionaires, and that, right there, is what failure looks like.
And let's not start on the situation where a good portion of the population are effectively economic tourists (again, mostly from China) with, let's face it, a give-a-fuck-about-the-country level hovering around absolute zero. And then there's the deliberate, systematic cultural erasure of the Anglo-Celtic demographic that was once 98%+ of the population in many cities only a few decades ago, combined with the patchwork ghettoization of urban areas into ethnic enclaves without even the polite pretense of assimilation.
That said, running to the United States of Niggerland (another failed state) makes no sense at all. From up here it looks like just as much of a shitheap, even worse in some ways. When your cities have a regular cycle of being put to the torch by rampaging hordes of Bantus, and your polical system has stopped even bothering to try to look legitimate by its own standards, you're fucked. To be quite honest, I never really knew much of Canada outside of Can-Am dirt bikes, ice hockey being their #1 national sport (to the point where I think you guys have NO national football team to represent you in the World Cup), and their penchant for churning out bubblegum Pop singers (Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne, Justin Bieber, etc etc).
My first Canadian-themed blackpill happened when I watched the "Dear Zachary" movie, way back when it came out.
I couldn't possibly understand how the Canadian justice system could have allowed such tragedy to happen, I thought you guys were basically "like the US but with none of the bullshit that makes the US of A, the US of A".

The Canadian justice system is a fucking joke. The natives always get Gladue consideration, which means the court has to take into account their upbringing and past traumas. Basically makes sure the perpetrator is treated like the victim. They can break into your house, murder you and be out in under 10 years. You get charged with murder if you kill them in self defense.
A bunch of armed natives in a truck rolled onto a farmer's property, cops are at least an hour away. That being said, if the courts and government are corrupt, what incentive is there for Canadians to obey the law?
Spoiler alert, none. Use loopholes to avoid paying as much taxes as possible, don't talk to police or government. Ignore what they say and focus on yourself. Invest in decentralized currencies and don't live in cities. If you get in trouble with the law, use their bullshit rules against them.
Learn to hunt, fish, and garden.
In conclusion, reject modernity, embrace tradition.

The biggest issue is that so much of rural Canada is dependent on cities. Since we centralized agriculture all those little towns died. Rural economies are decimated. Moving out of town just means more inconvenience because at some point you've gotta go into the city. Unless you've got a family of 15 and some good neighbors, you're not going to go it alone.
