It's the same as everywhere else, bigger cities are generally more progressive, rural areas are generally more traditional. The only added thing is that we're more identitarian than anglos. Whether people are for social programs or for more libertarian-like policies, it's more from the optic of whether it's good for Quebec's identity. Immigration isn't good so both the "left" and "right" are united on that. You can see that in Europe too, SD in Sweden or RN in France, they're called far-right just because they're against immigration but besides that one issue, they're pretty much centrists.

Just because we have more control over who we accept doesn't mean we can unilaterally set up our own policy and refuse entry. We're still subject to Ottawa wanting to bring more people in.

Ottawa was denying "high skilled" immigration slot against the provinces who refused refugee intakes.

This is a fucking charade.
 
Bloc Quebecois is the conservative party in Quebec.

The conservatives split provincially, and then re-merged together into the PCs and then we got harper after the fragmentation ended.

The only provincial conservative party that remained independent was bloc Quebecois.

So in terms of conservative nature, yeah Montreal is more progressive, but the province is conservative, just a french version of it.

Bloc is only conservative in sense that they are semi linguistic nationalist party. Its still a massive commie party with insane social policies that can only continue because of the equalization payments.

On another note is Canada healing or has it never been more over? I was just picking up a burrito and an Uber eats driver came in behind me and I was shocked that it was a young cute white girl wearing a hoodie from the university she attends.

Either that means the Jeets are starting to go back or the student job market is so fucked cause of Jeets that young cute white girls have to do the same jobs as the Jeet slave caste

I remember the 1995 Quebec referendum, and in the foolishness of youth, I earnestly hoped Quebec would stay. A clue as to how retarded the whole situation was that Quebec seriously proposed separation, but continuing to receive equalization payments.

This country has been rotten for a long time, Bad Orange Man just shone a light under the fridge and now we watch the roaches skitter.

The Bloc may campaign as a conservative option in there ridings, but in reality there effect on federal politics radical as they serve to subvert the interests of the vast majority of Canada to Quebec's interests.

The majority of French Canadians don't like the Third Worlders either, but like I said it's moreso Montreal and Ottawa are the main problem. Speaking French isn't enough, you have to be culturally French, and bloodlines linking you to specific towns and villages are relevant.

It really just boils down to Old World attitudes, because culture, language, and bloodlines are very much important in the Old World but the progressives and liberals erases all of that under the false notion of equality. It's really erasure of identity.

It's like how most African Americans can't trace their ancestral lineages, it makes them as a group very insecure, their culture is just borrowed from mainstream America, and they have to rely on the broad notion of Blackness and slavery as the basis of their identity.

Once you understand all of this you realise that civic nationalism is very shallow, a nation needs to be connected by common culture, common language, and shared ancestry. Do we really want a bunch of newcomers with ancestral ties to Punjab? Such questions are normal, but we're not allowed to ask because of political correctness, and corporate greed.

I am kind of autistic and went on anothe rant. Lol. You're right. French culture should be straight forward, it's a blend of Latin, Germanic, and Celtic, broadly Catholic, and generally native to the area around the Seine River and Loire Valley.

But French culture today? It's just a bastardized mix of Black creoles and disgruntled Moslems, from the colonies. It's like the French gave up on their native culture.

Something Ive been wondering, do you think Trump is deliberately trying to get the Liberals elected again because he knows it will cause separatist sentiment in the west to skyrocket? I even read a news article asking some farmers in Saskatchewan about the election and most of them were saying if the liberals get elected again they will vote for separation.

Trump knows he probably can't get all of Canada but if he puts the hurt on the west enough and then extends an opportunity to break from Ottawa that might be the most likely scenario of him ever getting any Canadian territory.

That's a very outside opinion. Admittedly my persepective is a bit skewed because I hang out with people on the right mostly but French culture is her own and Catholic. The French often call themselves gauls as a euphemism, even Macron used it once (though in derogatory manner). The Frankish nobles had a big effect politically but it's not accurate to say France is a mix. A better description would probably something like celtic with latin influences.
As for today's culture it's true the youth does use arab slang, but France isn't just rootless cosmopolitans and urban youths. You can find strong French culture everywhere still.

This is how it was in the US election too btw. Blindsided a lot of people. Younger people actually went more conservative and retarded boomers went more liberal. Seems to be a trend...
