The Feds will have no choice, the money is running out and Trudy's policies directly resulted in the destruction of the middle class tax base. The only choice Carney will have is to raise the GST to help keep the debt payments under control.

We're reaching end game and faster then I ever thought possible. Right now 10 cents of every dollar collect goes to paying the INTERST on the debt, not the debt itself. 10% off all collected funds go to pay just the fucking interest alone. Do some math and see how long until Canada is bankrupt and you'll be surprised at how fast it's coming.

Also they are keeping Pierre because they have no one else. He did do way better than either Andrew Scheer or Erin O'Toole.

Scheer and O'Toole both got about 33% of the vote so this is objectively false.

In any case Pierre is a terrific leader of the Opposition. He fillibustered the hell out of the previous government which froze out legislation like the online harms bill. Unsure of how things are going to shake out with the current makeup of Parliament though.

@Brutality Canadians weren’t given a referendum on the Chug veto power thing instead it was rammed through the courts. Otherwise I suspect if a referendum was held it would be rejected as well like in Australia

Anyway Australia is going to have new voice abo referendums every 5 years till they get a “Yes” result
