I've pretty much embraced separatism as an Albertan, largely because I don't see Ottawa changing its attitude unless forced with an existential threat. The feathers can squawk all they want about treaty lands and all that, but they don't have the force of arms to impose their will. Canada let the armed forces degrade to the point where they couldn't even hold Prince Edward Island, the United Nations sits on the sidelines whenever there's a genocide so no one is coming to help them. Should there be a successful referendum (and that is a big "if"), they will have to sit at the table and recognize that they are in a poor bargaining position. They are only "sovereign" at the government's discretion, it would be a completely different situation when whitey stops feeling guilting over what happened nearly 150 years ago.

Agreed, this is a pretty dumb decision. Other countries are doing a better job simply because they don't do super woke, lgbt, propoganda films as much as America does. He needs to address the rot in Hollywood before he can start tariffing other countries. The only slight benefit from this might be the Christian film companies that have been gaining success can have slightly less competition because they're made in the US.

However, I'm all for getting American film companies in trouble for making underpaid workers in other countries do their animation work. Same with videogames.

If Hollywood made movies for americans BY Americans, then they would start thinking about what AMERICANS want - not some chink in a hut village.

No, because the Liberal-captured media in this country will never tell the truth about the impact of Trump's policies toward Canada, since they are Carney's fault.

Remember, none of the mainstream media did anything but parrot that Trudeau's mortgage reforms would make home ownership easier, when it was obvious as it could be that they did the exact fucking opposite!

Why would they think otherwise? For all it's size Canada is a small country. Local elections in Texas have more impact on the USA then Canadian ones. The entire messaging of the Liberals for the past 30 years has been so bizarre in many respects. They want Canada to be taken seriously yet have also enabled policies such as gutting their military, degrading their own internal social and political authority, and even talking about how Canda is not a country with a culture of its own and is post national.

Why are they shocked when Canada is no longer being taken seriously by the USA?

Also, the majority of us voted to END partcipation in equalization, so she pretty much just signed her death warrant politically by saying she wants to continue in it.

There is a lot going on behind the scenes right not but Smith is not a speratist, I repeat she is NOT a separatist. She see's this as a opportunity to push Ottawa for the things she wants and get some relief from the ridiculous laws the Liberals have pushed onto Alberta.

And she see's it as a chance to move onto the national stage, she does see a possible PM slot for herself in the future.

But she does not want separation and will fight against it.

Right now what your seeing is the push of the WR and WEP party members trying to push her into moving things forward, it's a small, very small step so don't get excited. She's just posturing and trying to get Carney on the backfoot for when she starts pushing for her goals.

Smith is not an ally for seperation and if the movement gains enough tracking she may be forced out for a Premier who will. It could happen....maybe.
 
No no you're reading it wrong. He'll show videos of himself on Epstein island, and while Carney is utterly dumbfounded he'll buy out Canada with the money he got from Trump coin. 5d chess.
