Chatted with a canadian today. He wanted Canada to handle its own oil refining and struggled to understand why it's hard for Alberta to spend billions of CAD + nearly a decade of planning and construction to build an oil refinery. I suspect he thought that building and running industrial complexes on this scale was just some click functionality in some forex game. It was hard to get him to grasp that it's just way lower risk and lower effort for Alberta to ship their oil down to Texas for refining because they've already sunk the principle investment and developed the expertise to handle their specific oil composition. Bringing that back to Canada means reinventing the wheel and a bare minimum 10 year delay, during which time funding could fall through for myriad reasons.

I'm really starting to suspect Canadian liberals are actually just stupid. They're not even malicious. They just have a child's understanding of the world. This particular canuck was actually advocating for importing gay jeets. I have found a cucknadian so thoroughly stupid that he actually believes the jeets claiming asylum on homosexuality grounds are telling the truth.

Both the Liberals and Conservatives have this belief that we can magically just start developing shit just because we have the land, all of the bureaucracy that Justin layered on to the process would need to be stripped and people like Steven Guilbeault would need to be out of cabinet for those corporations to even consider coming back here, and that doesn't touch on the alberta separatist movement throwing the markets into flux. The government won't build shit especially because we're already 1.5 trillion dollars in debt

Frankly speaking, the European settlers made two grave mistakes... well, three.

One, not exterminating the "natives" down to the last man, woman and child when they had the chance, and God was telling them to do it.

Then, importing farm equipment from Africa, and then refusing to ship said equipment back or scrapping it once it started parroting human behavior.

Reading the comments on the posts feels like it gave me brain damage, with personal highlights being “See, the Equalization Payments don’t mean anything!”, comments about people wanting Alberta to leave having Trailer Park IQ’s, the works.

It’s almost like people WANT it to happen with how antagonistic they’re being regarding the idea. I feel like I’ve seen this playbook before…

The damage from decades of ideological subversion is so extensive that it is simply impossible to repair through conventional means. We have generations upon generations of Canadians programmed to think a certain way that the only option is to demolish the whole superstructure and rebuild on the foundation if possible. Or to use another metaphor, the old growth must burn down so that something new can rise from the ashes. If Canadian aren't stupid, then they are a terrifyingly naive lot so we need to jolt those who can be saved out to their stupor (however few there may be) and properly educate the next generation.

Oh, yeah, And mass deportations, naturally.

It is not possible reform Canada.

Good news is that kt doesn't take much to "do the deeds."

You just need 7-9% of the organized and disciplined population. Hell, Canada won't even need more than 1% of the population. They will capitulate like fucking yesterday because everyone is demoralized.
