I finally got around to watching (read: mostly listening to in the background while I cleaned my kitchen) the video earlier today and I thought it was pretty good.

I am used to his voice because his streams make for good background noise, and he's covered some great cows that the farms missed out on like Captain Alex.


Overall I am enjoying his chudification arc. He's a good case study in what happens to a fairly normal, well meaning, guy who's exposed to more and more far left bullshit.

Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday of October, in part due to the shorter growing season.

As for it being a non-event. It was just another work day for me and greatly appreciated since I get time and a half for it.
 
You misunderstand why the American Colonies revolted if you think it was merely taxation. It was that their ability to govern themselves was not respected. Charters ignored, colonial courts refused, local officials became appointed by crown governors who increasingly were detached, the French and Indian War effectively meant that by law you had to let Injuns raid your home if you were settled in an area and also fucked you because you thought you were fighting for land. The War Debt was bad, the standing army that exists for no fucking reason (the French left) and by law having to quarter them was worse.

I’d argue this is the key cultural difference. Americans ultimately viewed themselves as British citizens deserving of the rights of a British citizen and when they didn’t get them they took them. It’s arguable the proximity to slavery, enlightenment values, and the sheer volume of SPQRaboos present made them view this denial as not just an insult, but an attack.

I feel like unlike Aussies or South Africans huwhites, the Canadians and Australian Canadians (New Zealanders) really declined in identity as the British Empire declined.

Because Canadians and New Zealanders exist in the shadows of their larger neighbors. The United States was and still is a behemoth (to an extent, but Hollywood is a dying concern) when it comes to soft power via cultural exports such as film and television. Canada could never compete on the same level because our talent flees south of border for more numerous and lucrative opportunities. American blockbusters ran in theaters across the planet while Canadian projects tended to languish in VHS cases on video rental stores back in the day. Keep in mind that Japan and now South Korea are flexing cultural muscle as well because of the sheer number of weebs. However, there are exceptions. Red Green and Trail Park Boys are two such series that found sizable audiences in the United States, but only under particular circumstances that can't be forced.

Canada is increasingly pointless without the Empire because we in the Anglo half are culturally very American due to proximity and history. Given that our government steadfastly refuses to acknowledge security threats, it's a matter of time before yankee doodle dandy forces an Anschluss to protect his northern flank.

The smart ones have realized they've been roped into a Ponzi Scheme and either went back home, or had the skills to leverage getting into the States from Canada.

Realistically, a lot of our problems would be solved by just turning off the immigration tap for a few years, but because Canada's economy is basically a Ponzi Scheme the second new money stops coming in it's Over. The only difference is "do we want to try and control the collapse, or do we want it to cascade once every system is over capacity"

One of the biggest turn off when Pierre announced Canada First rally was seeing pakis and jeets in the front seat of the bus carrying "conservative" supporters.

It's all a grift to them. They have no loyalty. They seek to leech off any kind of energy from our civilization and contribute nothing in return.
