UN Canada PM Trudeau to announce resignation as early as Monday, Globe and Mail reports - It’s Ovah, Hosers. Sorry.

L/A
Jan 5 (Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to announce as early as Monday that he will resign as Liberal Party Leader, The Globe and Mail reported on Sunday, citing three sources.

The sources told the Globe and Mail that they don't know definitely when Trudeau will announce his plans to leave but said they expect it will happen before a key national caucus meeting on Wednesday.

The Canadian prime minister's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment outside regular business hours.

It remains unclear whether Trudeau will leave immediately or stay on as prime minister until a new leader is selected, the report added.

Trudeau took over as Liberal leader in 2013 when the party was in deep trouble and had been reduced to third place in the House of Commons for the first time.

Trudeau's departure would leave the party without a permanent head at a time when polls show the Liberals will badly lose to the Conservatives in an election that must be held by late October.

His resignation is likely to spur fresh calls for a quick election to put in place a government able to deal with the administration of President-elect Donald Trump for the next four years.

The prime minister has discussed with Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc whether he would be willing to step in as interim leader and prime minister, one source told the newspaper, adding that this would be unworkable if LeBlanc plans to run for the leadership.

This feels hollow. This is the same shit his coward dad did before the liberals got trampled in the 1984 election. Trudeau needed to run so that he could see his party get absolutely destroyed beyond redemption at the polls. That needed to be his legacy.
Yeah, destroyed beyond redemption and starting a long journey walking in the desert.

He's resigning so a vote of no confidence would mean nothing.
"we vote that we have no confidence in the guy who is currently leaving office"
If they could kick him out before they find a candidate to replace him, it's worth it. The vote out is not important as an inditement of Trudeau, but it compromises the Liberal Party. Trudeau is stalling for time to help his party afloat.

Trudeau's admission of resignation is enough to remove him from power in the Canadian law. You don't vote for Prime Minister directly in most parliamentary government, it's not like the President of the United States.

If Trudeau can find a replacement (something he said he would do) before a vote can happen, the Liberal party avoids more embarrassment and a no confidence vote will probably not happen.

Not even close, Obama was the one who took off the restrictions to allow psyops on American citizens in 2013. The whole thing was a coordinated effort throughout the entire western world by Soros globalists.

As not to derail, this seems to be of some importance. Canadians, please elaborate.

Bill S243 - Climate change stuff, very long and boring bill i cant summarize more than just "climate change funding"
Bill S248 - Has nothing to do about MaiD for healthy people and is in fact about allowing people to pre arrange medical assistance death if they lose the capacity to consent later down the line and permit individuals who have been diagnosed with a serious and incurable illness to make a written declaration to waive final consent when receiving medically assisted death.
Bill S278 - Dispose of assets seized under the special economic measures act if the seizure occurred without a judicial order (Get fucked Russian Oligarchs lmao)
Bill C365 - Summary says it all really "This enactment imposes certain obligations on the minister of finance in relation to the implementation of open banking in canada"

Remember kiddos, dont trust random twitter users, always read the bills yourself

This is more about getting them to pick the most ridiculous candidate in their leadership race.
It's straight up impossible for the liberals or NDP to win. It's a landslide victory for the Conservatives.
You can only assume a shitshow from the Liberals at this point. They are in a tight situation and the growing disapproval prior to this does not help. I love Canadians so I say this with love and peace, there are enough retards that will still vote Liberal because they like their current member in parliament. I know Canadians can vote out of spite, Harper hatred (also known as Bush hatred) got Trudeau in the job in the first place.

York was the capital of British colony Upper Canada and is now known today as Toronto, Ottawa was also the fifth capital of the province of Canada (also under british rule) after Kingston,Montreal,Toronto and Quebec city. So the song is correct and your history is missing a few decades or so.
I said about as much as a normal person should care about Canada. Not really worried about you sending a canoe or two after me.

Non citizens cant vote in Canada i dont know what this guy is talking about, the talking point most bring up is that Permanent residents can vote in some municipal elections but even then its only a few cities.

If you were an American and you drove up to Canada to vote you would be stopped at the door for not being a citizen

@Campbell-Duo,
And to your point, yes, Trudeau's efforts to slow parliament and any vote of no confidence is mostly political theater and dumb but we are talking about Canada.

Imagine taking a wokepedia page seriously :story:
I only used the wikipedia page to show the number of seats the party has. I think saying the party has a total of 0 seats since its creation is a good thing to mention when people start talking about it.

Yeah hes just trying to dodge the worse of it by being upfront with his resignation now and is trying to buy time until he can come up with a plan of action

Fair enough....
To be fair i'm stuck voting in a few months...look i just want to choose the best retard that can maybe achieve a good enough economy so i can buy a house and afford a decent living....
Or so help me God I'm going back to my original plan: Florida.
The last 9 year broke me ...and my optimism i had as a young adult.

I am absolutely baffled on why Florida would be plan B after 9 years of one of the worst leaders in history. Florida's Governor is one of the most successful in the history of the state.

Kind of a lame anti-climax if you ask me. The fact that Canadians didn't have the intestinal fortitude to vote him out of office, and he had to do it for them, is pretty pathetic.

(2020 federal election map) It's not from lack of trying, it's that as seen even with most of Canada voting against him winning certain parts of the country make it too easy to be elected
