Okami is the most overrated shit to ever exist
Um excuse me, you didn't like playing as a wolf with a paintbrush??? It made me feel like I had merit and worth and talent, best game ever!

(Actually I still have no idea what Okami is about except "dog with paintbrush")

It's Legend of Zelda with actually enjoyable combat that didn't suffer from tank control bullshit like its influence. For the PS2 version anyway. In combat, it was closer to Devil May Cry than Legend of Zelda. I've only played the Wii version once, and the forced motion controls made it a turn off. The 2nd half feels extremely rushed if you don't do the 4 trillion side missions that suddenly pop up at that point. The art style is unique, but does not merit the dick sucking it gets. Its a solid 7/10, so above average at the very least, but I also think Viewtiful Joe and God Hand are much better games for their technical depth. Anyone calling it a 9/10 or a 10/10 is a retarded fart huffer.

we will never get any of their older ips back its all just milked out shit as it is from cancercom these days. :/
I don't want a Gargoyle's Quest in current year after seeing G&G. I don't understand how you do nothing with Ghosts and Goblins just to make a mediocre game with the best ending being worse than the regular ending. It's like it had promise when it was in development, but then Crapcom stopped giving a shit about the game. It was just a different spin on stages from the first two games, and there wasn't anything original. It was nostalgia shoved in your face.

Missed out on this but Capcom announced an HD remaster of Onimusha 2

additionally Andy Wong continues to be a fag and shoehorning trannies in the Capcom Creators program https://archive.ph/oCC1I

Do these fags actually successfully influence for Capcom products on Twitch or is it just another corporate paid club by which libfags establish connections and ruin the industry?

Think we've gone so far into low-brow corpo marketing that they could put on Drake and it'd barely be any buzz. Remember that MH trailer with Ms Skywalker? Yeah me neither until I scrolled the news of MH:Rise on steam.

They include the alphabet people so they can write it on their linkedin.

Crapcom fanboys have low standards and love eating dogshit with a spoon, them loving trannies shouldn't be surprising.
This is true. SFV and DmC were both shithouse and survived when they should have otherwise been completely rejected. MvC: I was rejected but you still have cucks like Maximillian Derp fellating Capcom over it.

I thought Donte was rejected by normies? Duty Fighter V was more of a fgc thing because nobody out of the fgc "liked" that game. Max is braggin how he "saved" MvCI by being invovled in some cringy patch that makes that game slightly less ugly, but somehow worse than the vanilla version of the game.

When Max isn't actively blowing Capcom on stream and he's actually playing something else, he's rather inoffensive. It's when he starts playing anything Capcom that he gets high on his own supply just a wee bit much.

Part of me wants to make fighting games great again and another part of me questions whether it's even worthwhile.

it's one of those genres where it's not really feasible as AAA. too high cost, too small audience, trying to get more people to pay for it means compromising on the game itself etc.

it would be best fueled by autism on an indie level, kinda like skullgirls did before it got pozzed.

I recently played it for the first time and the best way I can describe it is imagine Zelda ocarina of time with a japanese mythology reskin made by capcom. It's not funny how much like Zelda it is especially the worst aspects. Really fucking slow game and fast travel is restricted to certain points on the map making everything outside puzzles and bossfights a chore to play. It also has random encounters pokemon style and for grinding items you have to do the encounter battles repeatedly. It's not a bad game but it's held up by artstyle and aesthetic, the gameplay outside of puzzles and bossfights is just very mediocre.

I wish capcom would bring in some indie auteur and make a low budget game in a bad engine. I feel like they're investing too much in graphics, tech and milking franchise slop.

I definitely don't want them to touch demons crest or maximo or anything from that time period, 92-2007. The snes capcom library is just masterpiece after masterpiece, pure gold games. The ps1 gamecube and ps2 games are very good, sometimes near perfect. I don't want them remade, I can endlessly play the originals which play good and aren't bastardised to hell and back. That's what happened with GG resurrection, actraiser, ducktales, wonder boy and all the 90s shit which got remasters.

I feel the same way about the Mega Man games. Get like 5 to 10 dev together, say "You got any cool ideas for platforms?" and let them go for a year or two before release it digitally.

His Resident Evil streams are good. His Akuma RE2 and RE2/RE4 randomizer videos are some of my favorites. He is definitely an unbearable shill, so watching him play the newest crapcom games is a waste of time.

MUGEN exists so probably not worth it. Existing franchises already have their fanbases and I doubt you can get them to leave the plantation.

I still think it's unbelievably gay that he named his daughter after a fictional character, but the little moments he has her on stream, are rather wholesome despite all the surrounding bullshit. He's clearly a good dad for her all things considered, I just hate the fact that he's a modern slop shill. Ah well. Can't win 'em all with streamers, I guess.

I haven't watched much of his newer streams, for me his old fighting game streams and his FF7/Dark Soul streams were the best and around when I stopped. I know he has a daughter but I didn't know she was named after a fictional character. That's gay if so.

Yep. He named her "Ripley". He couldn't be normal and just name her "Ellen", he had to use her last name like a complete faggot. Most rational people in his circle and who are into weird nerd shit would get that he was named after a favorite character of his with "Ellen" alone, but he had to be a retard about it.

Don’t forget Street Fighter
I'll never forget those giant buttons
no bullshit I actually played Street Fighter 1 on one of the big button gimmick cabinets (it even worked!) where it was pressure sensitive to determine light, med and hard
it's impressive to make SF1 even harder to play

Ghosts 'n' Goblins Resurrection is a rad game. Criticisms of it are, on the whole, baseless and without merit. That being the case, I was pleased as punch to discover a game called "Saga of Sins" (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2094550/Saga_of_Sins/) that appears to be inspired by it, to wit:
  • Simple run-and-gun gameplay
  • Paper doll art style
  • Spooky medieval monster theme
  • Linear stages in a replayable level-select structure with ∞ lives
  • Skill tree represented by literal tree
  • And so on, and so forth
It looks like this:

Not a match for GnG R, but I find it a fun little game as of a few hours and ~40% completion on Normal. I might give it another go on Hard. Worth consideration for fellow Resurrection-appreciators, much as Cursed Castilla is worth a look for fellow fans of the pixely arcade games in the series.
