Redpanels is an anarcho-capitalist who routinely screeches at Sargon for making fun of the alt-right. Translating from :autism:-speak, it looks like he's mad Sargon said that a bunch of the alt-right types Redpanels hangs out with are legit racial supremacists and is claiming that pointing that out violates his "freedom of association".

They do realize that these "freedom of X" things pertain to governmental organizations right?

Like how Freedom Of Speech applies to the government censoring speech and is a separate concept from something like "Free Speech". Its not like Sargon is a government agency preventing Redpanels from geting a job or renting an apartment because of his association with racial supremacists. He's legit poking fun at them.

Talk about easily triggered special snowflakes amirite

Honestly, Tfoot's science videos are a lot better than his other content, I like his pseudoscience-busting ones, so him not doing "skeptic" videos anymore doesn't hurt.

The best part about the stream is that Sargon opens by saying they shouldn't make jokes about it, and then is making jokes about it ten minutes later. Smooth, Carl. Smooth.

Is Carl the OG ancient statue Youtube commentary guy? Or was it more of a spontaneous fad that made them all gravitate to classical statuary?

If Sargon gave someone a blowjob, it'd take 30 minutes.

I'm amazed at how long all the popular Youtubes are. Surely people aren't tuning in and just watching his static graphic while he rambles on for an hour and a half. Do you put these things on while you chop firewood or cook dinner, or what?

If Sargon had an editor, his videos would be about fifteen minutes long and I might be able to sit through one...

Oh jeez, the Candid drama and Harmful Opinion's fanbase could fuel an entire community watch thread.

Basically Harmful Opinions got screwed by Candid in response to making videos critical about them, and because a number of youtubers had already shilled for the app they were bound by contract to not talk about it. His fanbase started insisting that instead of everyone being unable to talk they were in league with Candid and were part of some secret cabal of youtubers trying to push Candid as a pro-SJW honeypot on the "skeptic" community. Then lines were drawn, people were put on sides and ever since it's just been a nonstop cavalcade of autistic screeching and purity tests to any youtuber who wants to stay out of the drama.

Sargon had a livestream yesterday that was basically 2 and a half hours of youtubers like Kraut and Tea and Mundane Matt screeching at each other over the issue and because his only real position was "this is ridiculous, everyone please calm down" he's now part of the cabal.

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong but I don't recall Harmful going that far with the drama. From what I've seen (I may have too much free time and know more about this crap than a well-adjusted person would, but I still don't really watch this stuff religiously) he just saw those guys as sell-outs, naive or both, for shilling an app that sets a really bad precedent as far as AI-based internet moderation goes. And as TJ admitted, yeah, the Candid people did decide what he can and can't say, which is very funny given what this clique is supposed to represent. Then lo and behold the idea of AI-based censoring did turn out to be awful and when the big sites started doing it, it was a disaster.

Harmful doesn't seem to me like a "WE MUST DESTROY THE SJWS NO MATTER THE COST" type, quite the opposite he's called out AntiSJW Skeptic Logician™ clique on other occasions too but without pulling a 180 and saying "you guys are gay so I love SJWs now". He definitely spergs out sometimes like the kind of person who used to be in the clique to begin with but that naturally comes with the territory. He seems fine to me overall; still criticizes dumb leftists, but without treading on eggshells to not offend other e-celebs or alienate the "/pol/ guy who touches himself over the thought of a frogposter ethnostate" demographic and I think that's alright.

Such a Dindu Nuffin

Sargon apparently doesn't know what quote-mining means.

Apparently saying "We shouldn't joke about this" as fucking parentheses for a joke about a potentially taboo subject makes it totally okay regardless of what it is. I'd take the opposite view: Comedians who dip into "offensive" subjects, shock humour, and the like, generally don't riddle their performance with apologies for their own content.

Sargon intermingling his jokes, and the jokes that his butt-buddies made with half-hearted assertations that they should stop strikes me more as Sargon being aware that he's probably crossing some sort of line, so he's covering his ass so he can point to the times he said "We probably shouldn't do that" if he gets called out on it.

If you repeatedly say you shouldn't do something, while continuing to do that same thing...yeah, I'm sorry, but that's just bullshitting.

Yeah, this is pretty much just pearl clutching, it really seems like they just basically shitposted on livestream and made off color jokes. Then the trigger 9th brigade got involved and started shaking

People genuinely getting upset at this dark humor for being offensive rather than being fucking awful? Color me shocked.

Seriously can't believe at how small potatoes this is. C'mon now, you're on the farms for God's sake. Most of you have probably seen much worse than this.
