I've been trying to listen to this recent sperg fest with Jim and that's really what leaps out at me. There's one point where Sargon tries to justify what he does by saying, "They're out there changing laws" or something to that effect and I thought that's exactly the fucking problem. They're changing laws and you're making shitty videos on Youtube. How 'bout doing something that actually makes a fucking difference rather than jerking yourself off over how "important" you are?

To be honest there's not a damn thing he can do, though he thinks he can (obviously). There's jack shit anyone can really do about where we're going. I'd be fine if he (Sargon) could just admit he does this shit for kicks, that he just gets enjoyment out of doing it and it keeps his mind sharp (lol) and it gives him people to talk to, yadda yadda. But having illusions that making videos is the start to the path of change? Haha, yeah right, and besides the hipsterdom that partly fuels the social justice bullshit is reacting to "classical liberalism" precisely because it's "classical", it's old ideas by old white guys and they want something new and revolutionary, they want to reimagine society and humanity.

I'm split on the "debate".

I do not de-value what Sargon does because he does have reach to normie-borderlines, you hear people unaware with most of the culture war shit reference his videos. Unfortunately over time Sargon and Sargon-likes have become dime-a-dozen, repetitive view machines. Jim is living proof you can merely be an anonymous question asker and be effective, though he is much more niche in his reach. The most interesting and refreshing thing about this video is Sargon being real and dropping all his normal pretense.

Jim is also correct in pretty much everything he says, and under no obligation to "be the leader of GamerGate". It truly is a difference in philosophy and tactics between them.

I was cringing all the way through that stream with Jim and Louis. Sargon's spent so much time disparaging SJWs that he sounds an awful lot like them. How long till we hear him unironically say, "There are no bad tactics, only bad targets"? Jeez.

Something else I thought was interesting, considering Sargon said hadn't watched Jim's latest vid on the whole Kraut thing at that point, was that he was talking down to Jim in a way very similar to how Kraut and his 24-hour ops buddies were basically calling Sargon an idealistic idiot in their Discord chat. "He doesn't know how these conversations are handled," or whatever (very loosely paraphrasing).

This is a major problem with him, hes becoming lame and cringy as fuck, hes not as smart, important, or good as he thinks he is. He needs to stop with the philosophy shit because he is horrible at it and doesn't even understand his own ideology or the ones he tries to criticize all too well, like how censorship laws will come with or without SJWs to the UK because its government/media and corporations are pro-censorship in general, "SJWs" are just another group of useful idiots. Saying he is "anti-equality" is illiberal as fuck, equality and liberty are very important to liberalism in which it tries to balance. What he should of said is that he is for equality of opportunity and not for equality of outcome, also lets not just get started on the "individualist vs collectivism" thing because with most ideologies, and cultures its a scale, not many are strictly one or the other, him and most of his skeptic friends see these things as black and white, its just isn't that simple.

The whole thing is getting even more cringy than the new atheist shit, and him and his community will go down that route if it continues on its course. You can kinda tell from the livestream between Jim and Sargon that Sargon know's Jim's weakness, and that is his fear of ever getting doxxed and losing his anonymity. It started to become obvious when Sargon and Louis pointed to the fact that Jim never attends conventions or wants to meet ecelebs & fans in person; and how Louis REALY wants to meet Jim in person and shake his hand.

The devil's in the details, but there were subtle threats being passed back and forth. Both Jim and Sargon fear each other. Jim has the ability to ruin Sargon's eceleb business (both directly and indirectly; either by not tacitly supporting him in the crumbling of the Skeptic brand, or by directly releasing a scathing video). Meanwhile Sargon could potentially doxx Jim through proxies (probably uncovered with Kraut's research, as we don't know the depth of what dirt Kraut has dug up and weaponized).

i think this is a plausible angle. another thing is just that he's actually starting to dance with IRL political spergs like spencer, and so needs to make a choice of what to do with his audience: mobilize and become an activist, encouraging others to follow him to conventions and pseudo-academic conferences, or continue doing the only thing he knows how to do even though people are starting to lose interest in him doing it. jim's advice is dont do that, stick to youtube, but he couldnt help himself from trying to make his point by "gotcha-ing" sargon, which didnt look so great.
