The more interesting thing to me however is on The Official Podcast #120, when he said that he not only dropped out of school, but "can't stand education at all", as well as having nightmares about going to college and actually contributing to society.

No matter if the allegations are true or not, this situation was an inevitability, and Carson only has himself to blame for giving these dipshits ammo.

It has been said over a thousand times in this thread but don't fuck your fans. In fact, don't even bother talking to your fans. I'm starting to believe that big youtubers have some sort of a learning disability.

On the other side of the coin, being a big youtuber must SUCK. At any moment, a fan could take a conversation you've had with them out of context in order to get clout.

Remember that most of the guys caught in this sex pest shit are between 18-25, are both infantilized and socially awkward due to their line of work, and not quite lookers.
Guarantee you that they have shot confidence, limited positive interactions with women, and are still susceptible to dick-thinking like most men in that age bracket.
In their minds, a girl direct messageing them for attention can easily parlay into images of naughty bits by using whatever limited amount of clout they have. The fact that these guys never seem bothered by girls sending nudes that amount to cheese pizza is indicative of A) an extreme lack of social awareness or B) outright malicious intent. The wider the age gap or more egregious the ask, the more skewed towards option B the assumption becomes.

Take this all with a massive grain of salt, mind you. I earned my degree by studying rocks, not by studying individuals as dumb as a sack of them. I'm not a psychologist.

It's too bad so many popular YouTubers are image obsessed, desperate for validation cucks. I haven't been following too closely but I really hope this dude doesn't apologize. Eventually somebody has to tell these Twitter lynch mobs to get fucked. Kowtowing just lets them know you're a doormat they can walk on whenever they want.

Rate me late if this has already been pointed out, but does anyone else find it strange that this drama happened just after Dream/Clayton “hires PR internet scrubbers” Huff got doxxed? I find it strange that this woman waited 2 years to come forward with these dms, and she released them the same week as all of Clayton’s scandals.

Also, Carson wasn’t nearly as popular 2 years ago as he is now. Whatever “influence” he had wouldn’t have been nearly enough to groom 17 year olds on the internet.

It's not strange, this shit always happens in waves because one person sees the attention a victim gets and decides to finally go public with their story to get in on that sweet sweet attention.

1) You can't be groomed online unless the alleged groomer is asking you to do things that allow them to exert more power over you, such as shutting out your friends or running away from your family. Use the term right.

It's curious the amount of people who talk about the supposed power dynamic. The term was originally coined to refer to your boss or family taking advantage of their position as your superior with the ability to punish you to force you to have or continue a relationship with them. Exactly what power dynamic was Carson abusing? His status as a c-list internet celebrity? There was no way for Carson to punish anyone for refusing his advances. And I think it's been discussed to hell and back enough about how the gap between a 17 year old girl and a 19 year old male is not big enough to be an issue.

At this point its just easier to assume that a Youtuber, but especially a gaming Youtuber, is some kind of degenerate in hiding rather than giving them the benefit of the doubt. People are into nasty shit, and the cleaner they try to make their image the more likely they are to be hiding something fucked up.

Intellectual power, since the girl was attracted to him for being a Minecraft/commentary Youtuber-- an attraction that wouldn't exist alongside any rationality.

Then again, I reckon that was balanced out by her female power against his penile malfunction, since no man would be attracted to even a young female adult in an even semi-rational universe. I mean, really-- they're vacuous, and having a conversations with them is like being forced to eat the Play-Doh-consistency cake your five year old daughter made. You're eating it because you don't want to see your daughter cry, not because you enjoy invariably setting yourself up for gastric distress in a few hours.
