The Bad Guys 2 becoming the 9/11 for fujoshis and furries. American animated movies have become so gay. Having straight romances and heterosexuality in a children's movie is now considered refreshing. The Bad Guys 2 plot couldn’t happen if Snake wasn’t horny for Doom. Wolf and Diane Foxington’s romance is a major focus in The Bad Guys 2. The last animated Disney/Pixar movie that had a straight romance as a focus was elemental. 10 year gap between it and Frozen/Tangle.

The Bad Guys 2 seemed pretty funny from the commercials I saw. Nature is healing.

Like it's extremely impressive he did it all by himself,it technically worked out,you can live in it and NOT die. But effort and gumption does not make a good house nor animated film.
he card scene alone is infinitely better than what I can do,but I bet I could make a better movie. Probably not a movie with better animation, but a better movie none the less.
Honestly even if the Thief and the Cobbler had came out the way he wanted it would have either flown under the radar of Disney or become “muh 80s dark fantasy forgotten classic”,it wouldve been a dud but like Laura Palmer in it's death it has greater life.
Oh yeah Thief and the Cobblers story/characters are dogshit. The only semi-good character is Zig-Zag and that's mostly because of Price.

It's animation-porn, and even if it was finished that's all it'd ever be.

If you want decent writing in your Arabian nights-inspired animated film starring a blue guy who steals the show, watch Aladdin.

Imagine the dread and loathing Richard Williams experienced seeing his baby raped and mutilated by Miramax, meanwhile Disney fucks him in the ass and mogs him 10 times over, but he can’t even use the “audiences don’t know what they want, they’re settling for a lesser product for famous actors” excuse to justify the situation becuase Eric Goldberg is killing it with the animation, showcasing that yes, people do want fluid looking blue guys, they also want a movie to watch them in.
At least we got this.

I really enjoyed the movie, but it’s so eye rolling to think that it’s the most popular streaming because kpoopers artificially astroturf their idols to get them to the number one spots by streaming and streaming their media all day. This movie was never going to fail because of them.

To expand on this, the Old Masters like da Vinci and Michaelangelo got to be Masters because they were sent off to artliers (basically Fine Artist Trade School) as early as age 7. Being an artist used to be seen as not only a legit career path, but a skill one had to hone early on to being That Good by the time you were 20.

So yeah, there's definitely some truth to the idea you have to start drawing right out of diapers if you want to Make It.

As for nepotism, I was floored when I found out Claire Hummel's dad worked in animation. Like, no wonder you got such a head start in the industry!

Late and gay but to be fair, nepotizing your way into arts has been quite common since forever. We think DaVinci and MichaelAngelo, but there are also a slew of others who became artists because dad or grandpa were... hence, you inherited the training, workshop, materials and client list. And why not? Social mobility back in the age was much more limited so lots of people simply followed into the family trade. Problem is that starting some 200 years ago, becoming an artist has become chic, so if you're fortunate enough to be born into an arts family, those who are not and want in will resent you because you have a foot inside the door. But inheriting your dad's job is still quite widespread. How many eased themselves into politics, medicine, finance, agriculture, etc... because they had a relative inside? Heck even factory parents try to land their kids a job in the factory if it pays well or is a secure enough job.

I don't understand, I thought the two animals were in a implied relationship in the beginning?

it helps also that they have conventionally appealing mains, unlike something like say pixar’s elio.

Richard Williams spent 30 years making glory shots of messengers with hundreds of individually animated arrows sticking out of their backs as they rode a horse. It looked impressive, but it added nothing to the story. Williams should have focused his energy on a few setpieces, then just used standard Disney style animation for the rest of it.
