Richard Williams spent 30 years making glory shots of messengers with hundreds of individually animated arrows sticking out of their backs as they rode a horse. It looked impressive, but it added nothing to the story. Williams should have focused his energy on a few setpieces, then just used standard Disney style animation for the rest of it.
If he had simply made the Red Eye scenes super detailed it would've been enough. The war machine/camp were already very impressive.

The Bad Guys 2 becoming the 9/11 for fujoshis and furries. American animated movies have become so gay. Having straight romances and heterosexuality in a children's movie is now considered refreshing. The Bad Guys 2 plot couldn’t happen if Snake wasn’t horny for Doom. Wolf and Diane Foxington’s romance is a major focus in The Bad Guys 2. The last animated Disney/Pixar movie that had a straight romance as a focus was elemental. 10 year gap between it and Frozen/Tangle.
Funny; On a similar note - I want to see the seethe a straight, interspecies romance in some popular work of animation would cause.

This sounds overly specific, but furries don't like that exact kind of pairing, most of the time.

Animation industry is bad actually?
>I was offered an internship to work at Titmouse, the studio animating
Randy Cunningham. Elated, I moved to LA from Alabama. When I got there, I worked for 5 months for no pay. I drove into Los Angeles at 4 AM to open the office, and would close the office as late as 8PM. But I was thankful for the opportunity to work in animation at all, so I accepted this situation.
>I later landed a job at Nickelodeon working on Spongebob… A dream come true for a kid that grew up on Nick. Instead of the dream job I hoped for, I found a toxic environment where I was cursed out behind closed doors. I was told I could never enter a director’s office, and instructed to send my white coworker to speak to him on my behalf. I was told to my face by this person "I don't want to look at you. I don't want to see you. Do not pass my doorframe." I was warned that if I spoke to anyone about the abuse I was going through, my name would be blacklisted from the industry. Finally, exhausted from the mistreatment, I asked for a meeting with a third party to address the harassment. In response, the team stopped speaking to me entirely and iced me out, making it impossible for me to continue my job. I was told to “go home and think about” whether I wanted to continue. I was forced to quit.
>I felt very lucky to work at Disney Television Animation afterward and finally found better teams, and kinder people, working on shows like Ducktales, Hailey’s On It and Big City Greens. However, I also faced other moments of mistreatment. I was verbally abused by Disney executives, and the people who wanted to help me couldn’t because of office politics. I was offered condolences for the verbal abuse, but nobody was able to alleviate that suffering.

btw, not the person who posted this, just copied it from the gofundme page which I can't link

I'd like to see him try...
>Toon4Thought

I remember following him a while back on Twitter before he made the shift to Bluesky. I watched his video on the 2 stupid dogs and the show becoming CN’s launchpad for their famous creators and future shows. It was pretty okay review on the show and it’s history

Outside of YT, dude’s pretty similar to AniMat in terms of political sperging. Not to mention dude’s voice being pretty grating.

I have to give her credit that at least she didn't cry racism. We still only have one side of the story, though, she was probably a real peach to work with. Is anyone corroborating her story or no?

Is it just me or do lots of animators hate cartoons?
They really do. I was mentioning this to a friend of mine who animates for fun, these "animators" will twist themselves into pretzels to pass themselves off as anything but a cartoonist. They hate the fact that drawing cartoons on a page for a living is something cartoonists do because "cartoons are for babies ARRRRRRT is adult".

You can tell from her face that she was the overly chatty guy who derails meetings with long rambling speeches about what needs to be changed to comply with 2010s internet leftist activism. The "I don't want to see your face" stuff is what the head chef says to the crew's designated whiner who can't even drink his 2 staff drinks without crying about his parents' divorce.

It's a shame Lackadaisy sucks. I tried reading it, but despite the good art, it didn't catch me. It doesn't help that the protagonists are unrepentant perps, one of them eager to go out of his way to cause maximum destruction and death, a which reminds me too much of terrible characters like Modern Harley Quinn. I would have preferred if it followed the police.
As for animators not liking cartoons, it would explain why current year cartoons always suck.

"Every opinion I don't like is incel coded ahh"
Dutifully noted, NPC, now off to the meat factory.

Also the cheapest option would be to do everything in house and specifically train your own countrymen in the craft so the discipline doesn't die off.
But that would mean having good educational facilities for cartooning and animation, and as has been established for decades, no one respects cartoons or animation to do such a thing.
Have fun with the human-made slop while it lasts, before it's replaced with AI slop trained on said human-made slop.

Amazing to me that anyone can speak from a position of intellectual smugness while writing in Millenial Karen slang. Looking at Megan Phonesavanh’s resume, she’s got a lot of brass dunking on the SpongeBob team’s workflow:

I mean reading that over, she’s probably only quasi employable even without the shit attitude.

The immature condescension is what gets me.

Funny how they want to call that other guy racist, when, if they knew better, they would understand the cultural differences WOULD make it difficult to understand Western humor, and the animators may not get the cultural nuances. Same thing happens to us Westerners all the time. But I guess acknowledging cultural differences is "racist" now, so I'll shut up.
