Batman Caped Crusader from 2024 was meant to be akin to the cartoon of the 90s... And the fact is that it's infested with wokeness, mediocre action scenes, and bad to terrible writing, shows they can't. I wonder what they will do to the Joker if there's a second season...

I don't understand the appeal of portraying whining about the most miniscule inconveniences in one's life in a cartoon. It's just not entertaining. Not everything in the animation is bad, but the colours and soundtrack grate my ears and eyes. I can tell the creator(s) watched a lot of 2000's shows, and thought they could make one.

This short is literally about nothing, we see some interactions that don't lead to any meaningful consequences, and then the city the characters live in suddenly bursts into flames. What am I supposed to understand about the show?

Actual cringe and not the endearing kind. The characters are incompetent, unlikeable and not in a silly, Beavis & Butthead way.

This cartoon is trying to capture an audience of retarded women and furfags without trying to challenge them. Not that every 6 minute short needs a moral, but this is just more of that aimless, ha-ha ADULTING XD shit we've seen a million times over already.

Also, is this just me, or don't painting students have access to studio spaces where they can store their paintings instead of lugging them around?

I’m not too surprised to find a good amount of reception is negative, given how the writing is apparently Reddit incarnate. I haven’t even watched the pilot, probably won’t, but the screenshots alone just have this sort of “grimy” feel that also made that Primos show real off-putting.

Are there even any trans characters or trannies involved in the show? That’s the only reason this would make sense.

It’s mentioned a few posts up that one of the voice actors is a tranny. And apparently Izzy herself is nonbinary, because of course she is.
Some other whining included the good ol’ “ya’ll really for indie shows until they do something you think is bad!” And “straight men hating on something made by a woman-oh wait, Izzy is nonbinary I’m so sorry!!”
 
Watched the Wastelandia pilot and it really is just boring. Another "slice of life comedy of young adults trying to navigate through their mediocre lives". The market is just oversaturated at this point, and for a show like this to be noticed you really got to have an interesting twist nowadays.
