I still think it's impressive how they hired someone known for guro porn as a guest artist on a Disney show.
(...and that's not to shit on Paul, 2010s Disney doing completely authentic pixel art was unbelievable.
I knew that they had to have "cheated" somehow. Tokimeki Memorial wouldn't be translated until nearly a decade afterwards.)

Who's Paul, Paul rudish?, or some other Paul from Disney. Also Alex made gore porn? Ew

It doesn't surprise me that these people are still friends with Julia Vickerman

I'm gonna be THAT GUY and say that most people at the time (and in the present) knew Paul for being the Scott Pilgrim Pixel Artist and not for his weird shock art. It also isn't too out of ordinary considering the cliche openly flaunted how they drew horrible shit in private when defending Rebecca Sugar.

>Be Nefcy Try and recreate Sailor Moon with extra fantasy.
>Accidentally recreate Devilman at the final arc.

Also, its astounding how much ruin she has brought onto the cartoon industry long-term. The writing for Star Vs on top of the not so subtle fag propaganda wound up defining western cartoons after.

Don't forget shoving free gibs reparations propaganda as well as anti gun propaganda so fucking badly you made the MC commit genocide, and had to damage control her actions after the show ended.

And let's not forget how said genocide just merged Earth and the magical world. Effectively inviting a massive clusterfuck of catastrophes hence why I compared it to Devilman. There's too many parallels!

Both feature a straight and narrow dude who gains enough power to fight evil, a blonde who begins as the best friend of said straight and narrow dude but winds up falling in love with him. (At least in Star's case, she isn't a hermaphrodite), and said blonde commits genocide and brings ruin upon existence just to be with their man. (And unlike Devilman, this version of Satan gets her man.)

That's why I find it so funny. A liberal woman's idea of a perfect ending is the bad ending in any other work. Now, if Nefcy saw Devilman and just stuffed the ending into her subconscious, that's one thing. But if she never saw Devilman, this would make her ending essentially a very hilarious coincidence.

She would've had to seen Crybaby and then immediately rewrite the final season/episode before that went into production. Unless she had actually read the manga (and I don't know why she would), it's likely just a hilarious coincidence.
