like fat albert but cavemen

base flintstones besides memage and "he said/did the thing" was also boring quite a bit, these designs look like theyd've been more surreal and interesting, though likely if it went through itd've been beat into looking like generic flintstones

My guess on how the finalized characters would act. The father and wife would act like George and Louise Jefferson (based on the looks) the daughter would probably act like the generic hanna barbera teen girl but black, the older brother I'm getting Jimmie walker from good times vibes and the younger brother probably thinking Gary Coleman, and the small stegosaurus would probably act like dino

That girl is actually really cute. And is the mom light skinned? This is shockingly inclusive for it's time. I also like the TRUE black Shaggy. The only reason I'd be against this is the fact that I'm not sure what they'd do that the Flinstones wouldn't, maybe that's why it was scrapped.

In all fairness they probably based her designs off of the black girl from Josie and the pussycats as the two later concept arts show

That reminds me, whenever I get the chance, I should buy the time life vhs tapes (apparently when time life had the rights to fat albert it was still in the original ntsc format, as later releases of fat albert on dvd are sped up in pal format, like a lot of filmation shows)

If the first thing you have to say about a cartoon is the character's pronouns and sexuality, then it probably doesn't have much substance to begin with. As a resident nigger I do not know whether to be disappointed or MATI. Then again, disappointment breeds ire so I suppose I'm both.

That was the point where I stopped watching this shit. WOWZERS THIS MAGICAL SHIT IS LIKE KONOSUBA! MINUS ALL THE TENTACLE PORN OF COURSE!
You really aren't missing that much, from the 7 minutes I watched I didn't feel anything from this show. It just looks like magical girl schlock with even worse humour than the Kiana Khansmith Magical Girl cartoon. At least the crowbar joke made me snicker. Why does the main character (whos in rel screenshot above) have those sausage ass dreads when every other character has realistic braided hair. Shit makes it look like a fake ass Punch punch forever character.
Thankfully this only has 44k views so maybe it'll fly off the "animation is cinema" peoples' radars. Unfortunately you just never know with their standards.
 
This is a good opportunity to say Jefferson Twilight from Venture Bros is a funny black character and I wish there was a spinoff show about the wacky occult adventures of the Triad. But there NEVER WILL BE and it makes me ANGRY.

After whatever the hell that fade-in-and-out montage was, before she woke up? Yea no. No more. The dialogue and pacing are not cutting it. People need to touch grass and learn how people actually talk before writing anything, let alone dramatic moments like those. Also the delivery on "(Bert?) I didn't want you to know, don't cry" sounds like it's meant for a completely different line.
