I don't know why that circus cartoon got so much traction. I watched the first two episodes and I found it mediocre, and it reveals the main mystery right at the start, which is a terrible idea.
 
A friend showed me the first episode and I was just pissed off that they wanted to do a series that takes place in an old-school '90s PC game because muh nostalgia but didn't 100% commit to the rendered look that all of the promotional material presents it as. Also the Millennial writing is hard to ignore.

Oh shit, I forgot it had that aesthetic going for it. I thought the same thing when I was clicking around eps and before Ik it, niggas was going thru therapy sessions.

Taking the 'analog' (retro style found footage) part out of the analog horror, making it just generic cartoony mascot horror slop instead. Which is pretty crazy bc when I search analog horror the first thing that comes up for me is literally markiplier reacting to an old gooseworx vid... But its more marketable/childfriendly this way, so you know why it happened.

That amanda the adventurer game did a lot better job sticking to the 90s children's game style, even tho they are technically supposed to be 'episodes' instead.

I feel like at the very least they couldve started out as very polygony and gradually gotten more high res the more pomni got used to the circus/learned to fill in the gaps with her imagination, but oh well.
