It's funny because you can picture EXACTLY the way he ran up, giggling behind his mask and acting like a cartoon villain when delivering his letter.
 
Ahhhh, this is the kind of lolcow content I live for. Hopefully no children or animals getting fucked is involved, but knowing furries they likely will be.

This guy looks like a character model for a psycho you'd see in a Manhunt game if it had a gang of deranged murderous furries. These sorts of nightmare fuel furries are the best cause their glorified gimp outfits do such a good job of personifying their inner demon. It's like the danger hair theory taken to the extreme.
 
It's been about a week since Lumin got himself removed from a convention and made into a huge laughing stock, so I thought I'd make a small update to see where things are at the moment. I'll get around to updating the OP with this incident in the next couple of days when I can dedicate some free time to it. (Semper Fi @Roxanne Wolf for getting Null's legal advice over the C&D). Anyways, moving on:

First off, Lumin hasn't posted a single thing since he was kicked out of the event. As far as I know, the only social media he uses publicly is his YouTube community page, which still has the weird creepshot he posted at ANE where Turkey Tom appears. I've heard a few weens have commented on some of his videos with comments about the ban and/or this thread existing, which have since been deleted, so Lumin might be actively monitoring his account despite not posting on it (also please don't comment unfunny garbage on his channel guys, it's counterproductive and discourages him from making more "content").

As for less public areas like Discord and Telegram chats, I've heard he's been actively removed from nearly every single furry one in the surrounding areas. I was told via someone active in New Jersey that some of the chats initially refused to ban Lumin using the argument of "he didn't do anything in this specific chat so we can't ban him", but after some pushback, most of those mods gave in and actually did remove him. Pretty much every furry chat in New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey has confirmed to banned him.

As for Tripp, it's clear people are going to be meme-ing him with C&Ds for a while now if this art is anything to go by:

I noticed the fursuit he Lumin commissioned, they is a NFC tag holder. Is that standard in fursuits? Why would furries have one?

You mean the con badges? i know people sometimes have tags in their con badges that link to their socials, it's fairly common for some of the fancier badges.
Edit: Specifically the custom badges usually with a name and some art of the character they own, not the badges handed out by the convention itself.

I've seen some fursuiters have an NFC tag somewhere on their suit and/or badge so that people can tap their phone and immediately pull up something they wrote to the tag in advance, such as a link to their Twitter or YouTube. I've also seen people set up one of those tracking beacons (eg an Apple AirTag) and stick that in their fursuit's case when traveling. That way, if the suit goes missing, they have a slightly better chance of finding it.

I would assume Lumin had a holder installed somewhere on the suit for that same reason.
 
The aforementioned Tripp interview is up. However, I'm not bothering to archive this because I don't think it's worth watching. There's absolutely nothing in this video that we don't already know. What's especially egregious is that the uploader allegedly recorded an hour of interview footage, only to use less than two minutes of it in the final video. He's also got this annoying editing style where he keeps interrupting the interview to overexplain his points.
If you want to attempt to watch this anyway, You can skip the first 4 minutes of the video. The interview with Tripp starts at 4:12. I'll summarize the rest of it in the spoiler:
05:03 "I didn't open the door, it was my roommate who opened the door". He elaborates that Lumin did not physically enter the room, but when the door was opened, Lumin was holding his phone up pointed at the roommate, and didn't say anything. The roommate asked him "Are you a friend of Tripp or BlueFolf?" Lumin didn't respond, and started tapping his phone screen.
05:57 "My roommate basically shut the door on him because we're like 'what the fuck is this kid doing' and then Blue was telling me how uncomfortable she was." He then states that's when they decided to go to Con Ops.
06:28 "At some point, he did claim that I didn't go to con ops. I did, [con ops didn't do anything further] because con ops doesn't have the right to immediately go to the person that we reported unless there are more reports."
06:57 When asked why he didn't press legal charges like he claimed he wanted to in his DM to Lumin: "I didn't follow through because I didn't know the laws. I wanted to but I didn't think I had a case."
8:08 Novely talks about the alleged swatting Lumin claimed happened in this video. He doesn't add anything that I haven't already said.
10:40 Summarizing Lumin's drama with the fursuit maker finishing his commission but washing their hands of the situation. Again, there's not anything to add to this I haven't already said.
14:36 promotes a Google Drive link he posted in the comments about more stories. The link is here. It consisted entirely of various Twitter screenshots. Nothing is archived and everything is censored to shit, so I'm not bothering to archive it. Weirdly enough, a lot of these tweets I had already screenshotted and posted in the OP.

What's more interesting is two of the video's comments. The first one is posted by someone who claimed to have roomed with Lumin at ANE

I'm done with keeping quiet about this kid. I'm so done.
I was roommates with Lumin when I was at ANE. I was the driver for the trip. I knew he was problematic prior, but he didn't do anything to me. I didn't see this guy as a good or kind friend for a while. But I found out a week prior to ANE that he was too dangerous of a person. Since we already made plans for the trip, it...would have been tons harder for me to back out of all of this. We can't cancel anything for the trip. I asked him to follow two rules in the car ride there: 1) keep all drama shit separate from my trip's experience, and 2) don't be a backseat driver (which...is less relevant, but I'm just making a point). I packed all things prior to the trip, including Vitamin C drinks to combat con crud, and even prepackaged food so I don't spend $300 at restaurants.

Day 2 hits, So this dude asked if there was a microwave in the hotel, and I said there wasn't. I found it weird at first that he was asking, since he just had food bars. It took me 30 minutes to realize what he was doing. He was trying to microwave MY food. He took my prepackaged food without even asking. He blamed it on a "life or death" situation because he couldn't afford the food on his own. I told him right away this was a matter of courtesy. I ate the food before he could get his hands on it. And for the rest of the trip I put my food in the fucking safe in the hotel so he wouldn't eat it.

Another roommate (who, thank god saved my sanity for the trip) bought desserts in the middle of the trip for me and him. I was looking forward to it. We save it for the last day.
Since Lumin is banned at that point he's stuck around the hotel. I wanted to stick around the con for a bit longer, but we had to check out. Plus, we'd be dragging Lumin behind. Out of courtesy I ask him if he wants me to get something from Dunkin for him. We order on the app and I finally bring his food. he didn't order much. But me and my roommate were about to get ready to eat the desserts we bought the other day. That was the moment I realized he ate the rest of them too. Each dessert was around $6. And he didn't even ask for permission. I just took a deep breath, looked at him in the eyes with full rage and said, "You're never rooming with me again."

I accidentally forgot my headphones at the hotel on the last day of the con, and he messaged me to get it back. I asked him to hold on to them for me until I'm back from the con, but he was just...incredibly rude. He asked me to get my headphones back. And again. And again. And he told me to get my fucking headphones again. And when I came back, he spoke to me in an aggressive manner to just take my fucking headphones. We're not having this shit in the car. I made him clean the back of the trunk since his bags left dirt there. Seemed right for his rude behavior.

On our way back home I'm so sick of his shit. After dropping my other roommate off at his house, this kid breaks one of the rules for the trip. He starts talking about how he's in the deep, and how he hasn't been getting harassed. I tell him right after, "My recommendation to you, is to leave the furry community." Afterwards, I flip my shit on him. 33 minute long conversation in the car about how he needs to get some fucking help. People tell me I'm extremely harsh when I want to be, and I didn't hold back. I did not shout at him, or harass him, or do anything that would ruin his life or career. But he was just..silent in the whole thing. But I berated him. His silence said more than anything else I argued in the car. I was telling him to go see a therapist, or a psych ward if it really gets this far. I've been telling him this even before the trip out of the kindness of my own heart. I told him that if he continues with this behavior, for the rest of his life he's going to end up in one of two places; It's either as an outcast, or behind bars. He says he's trying to change himself but I insist that no one is seeing it. But I doubt any of this is ever going to get in the kid's mind. It's selective hearing at it's finest. I realize he's incapable of realizing his actions, and that is the most dangerous kind of individual. I drove him off at the spot and told him to get home safe.

He paid for the trip's gas and tolls after I reminded him a week later, but he never paid for my roommate's food. Why is he spending $4k on a fursuit if he can't afford his own food? He is a terrible example for the furry community. He needs to leave the community, for his own sake. The fact that some of the disappointing people I have met are still justifying his behavior because he's neurodivergent are completely dodging what this kid really needs. We don't need to be patient with him. We need him to stop. We're sick of coming back and talking about him.
And not only is he a bad image for the community, but as a person. The worst part is I knew him for many years and I told him in the car that me and a bunch of other friends have seen his transformation from a fun, wacky person, to this. The most disappointing furry I have ever gotten the chance to befriend.
I had no idea what was going on with this kid until after the con. I knew nothing about the cease and desist letter. All I knew is that he would be a problem and that he got banned in the middle of the con.
The initial reason for going to the hotel with him was to get a cheap room.

This is the last time I am ever rooming with him. I don't condone his actions and I never will. This is a good lesson on my life to understand that people will take advantage of your good faith.
Please don't send me messages asking for more information about my argument. KiwiFarms is already out to get this guy and I'm not asking to be in the thick of it.

Sorry I drove this guy to your con. This kid needs help. You do not need to respect him, but do not harass him. Push him to get help, for christ sake.
For the record, I'm personally not "out to get this guy" like he claims I am at the end of the comment. While I can't speak for the whole forum, I'm simply documenting his shitty behavior because I find it really funny, and I also think this thread should serve as a warning to other furries to stay away from this dude. And a friendly reminder to the lurkers, don't harass Lumin (or anyone else with a thread here while we're at it), because if you do it and get caught, we'll probably make an example out of you in the worst possible way.

The wild thing about Lumin believing I used him for a good review is him acting like I sought him out to commission me and not the other way around. I honestly didn't want to engage in the "Lumin Situation" anymore once the suit was done but that was before they went ahead and leaked emails and telegram chats as "evidence" and made a video about me. Also thank you so much for the Novely Approval haha it really means a lot to me especially after dealing with all of this!

In other news, it was discovered that Lumin is still approved to run an inflatable fetish panel at Fur The More 2024:

On one hand, I'm assuming that Lumin applied well before this entire incident and the staff simply forgot to remove him. On the other hand, this specific convention has been having some trouble behind the scenes for the last couple of years, ranging from an obnoxious COVID policy in 2022 that drastically changed while the event was already running, and in 2023, they spent months hyping a noisy room block before abruptly canceling it less than 48 hours before the convention, telling anyone who complained "tough". Some intersection of staff worked at both Anthro New England and Fur The More, so there's no way they are not aware of Lumin at this point.
