Will Amber go on MSHPL?

She 'liderally' said im too impatient to go through with the show. I feel like the only way she would accept help is if a genie popped out and let her switch bodies with a 160 pound person and even then she would have her new body fucked up in no time. She wants to eat 10k calories a day and lose weight.

It's kind if enjoyable to think that Amber admitted as much after subageddon.

So, it sounded like she was making the ultimate rejection by TLC all Becky's fault. The producer checked to see if Necks was fat enough and it turns out, the Neckster wasn't plump enough. They asked if she had a cousin. Poor Becky. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. I wonder if this is a contributing factor to Necky expanding her own girth last year? Their co dependency is gobsmacking. AL enables Becky to gain weight just as much as Becky does AL. AL is Machiavellian enough to influence every aspect of Becky's life so that she gains 100 lbs and becomes 100% on AL for everything.

With that said, I cannot imagine that a show like this would accept someone without even basic Medicaid insurance. They cover costs with nutritionists, probably psych, Dr. Now's fees, possibly the surgery itself, and likely have after care funds. I cannot see having the show paying for on average 10 landwhales per season to be hospitalized for months on end or in rehab due to pre existent obesity related issues. The costs would be astronomical and I doubt that those facilities would contract like they do with Medicaid (and all insurances) for set costs. And then there are the possible complications that would require even more costs. TLC's budget, never mind MSHPL's, budget can't be that big.

Whenever someone starts to kiss Dr. Now's ass on the 1st visit, or if they haven't done fuck all to lose weight and they try to butter him up, he is never receptive. If she tried the, "Your my saviour who will get me on a diet and lose. I'll do the work. I know how etc..." his reply is always the same, "You know all of this, why didn't you do this before? At 400 lbs, 500lbs? We can only give you a tool. I want you to lose 50 lbs in the next munt". She would be Penny Saeger 2.0.
 
Remember back when she first mentioned it people were "congrats on 600 pound life" and she was "uhhh I'm not going on 600 pound life"... well, it was a very similar show. family by the ton is actually worse since it would mean her and becky weight over a ton. maybe it's why they bolth have been gaining weight. would they have to be married though?

This, pretty much.

Amber treats her body the same as everything else in her empty life. Like a consumable product that she can ignore, mistreat and abandon, just to buy a new one and repeat the process. If Amber suddenly got magicked into a thin gorl, her only thought would be "wahoo ah can fit in the booth at cheesecake factory again! 10 plates of your finest orange chicken pleeeeez!"

So the idea that anyone, or anything can make Amber lose weight, for any reason.. yeah, that ship's set sail, been shot down to the bottom of the ocean, and is currently being haunted by the ghosts of diet plans past.
 
She won't go on the show. She's only saying it to get more views and incite the hayders. I'm surprised she didn't put "600 POUND LIFE!!!!!" in the title to rake in more views from the keywords.

You guys are so right about her impatience and endless consumerist lifestyle. But also, she won't do it because she's too damn lazy. Talking to the agent for 30 mins was SO much work for her, that she had to ask 1000 dumb questions first to make sure "it's worth spending time on". If that's too much work, how will she have all the talks with TLC and the moving to Houston and the going to doctors and the hauling her massive girth around on camera.... Forget it. This is a gorl who would rather "scream-cry" in pain than call a new fucking dentist. A gorl who took 2 months to fill in a weight loss clinic form. Taking initiative, talking to other human beings, doing anything except eat and lie in bed???? If she actually does it, I'll be astonished.
 
"that's what I look for in a weight loss doctor", really, it's amazing that that spewed out of the same mouth that goes "it's just not for me" and "it's just too low a calorie count". Dr.Now would put her on the same diet she's failed who knows how many times, the only difference is that her failure would be broadcasted on a national level instead of just to our small community. Seeing her try her bullshit on him would be amazing though.
 
I think Amberlynn does want to appear on MSHPL simply because she is such a narcissist that she feels her story and situation is so much more special than every other deathfat out there. This is just classic narcissist thinking. They are so different to everyone else, their life has been harder, nobody can possibly understand what they have been through and are going through. This is why Amber ultimately dismisses everyone who has offered her expert medical and nutrition advice.

I am sure in Amber's mind, her episode of MSHPL would truly be different to everyone else's. A dainty dainty princess trapped in the foster care system. A true scholar, writer, and poet. A generous and benevolent benefactress of multiple worthy causes. A lezbean fashion icon. An amazeen cook. A champion of the disabled. A social media star and YOU TUBER!
I imagine that if Amber did get an episode on MSHPL, she would drive them mad trying to control what they film and show. I mean she is an expert at editing and producing content Y'all.

Could she convince Becky to move to Houston to take part in filming? Maybe. I think she may be able to persuade her to at least drive her there and get her set up in an apartment. Once the reality of it all sets in, Becky will likely run back to Monticello. By that stage, Amber won't give two shits about Becky. She can't stand her anyway, and the moment she doesn't require her services, she will be off the payroll and out of Amber's life.
In fact, I would imagine she would have started 'auditioning' for a new enabutler in Houston the second she signs a MSHPL contract. In secret of course, naturally.

In any case, Amber will survive. There's UberEats and other delivery services aplenty in Houston, and if memory serves me correctly, isn't there a chinese buffet across the road from Dr Now's clinic?

I think AL strings Becky on a lot. In order to get Becky to make midnight trips to walmart, I'm sure there's always an incentive or promise to start a diet monday. Then monday comes and amber searches for some reason or another that she cant go on..and its not her fault,either. I suspect she would use the same tactics to go to Houston..convince becky of this better life but once they get there, the plan will fall apart..but it wont be ambers fault.. I actually think Amber would love to get out of ky and promise Becky its only temporary..i also think she lives to be in the spotlight

The incentive is that Becky gets to buy more shirts/hats/whatever crap she wants. That's all the incentive she needs.
 
Cool, a topic I can chime in about.

Castings of this nature are posted EVERYWHERE. Generally, casting associates will post anywhere they can, Craigslist, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Generally asking, for what they want. "Are you overweight and feeling like life is over? TLC is casting for a BRAND NEW reality show and we want you to share your story!". Imagine something of that nature posted everywhere. They will then pool their submissions and find which candidates that they feel will let the best ratings.

It is incredibly easy to verify who these people are and who they work for. If maj are working for major Network, such as TLC, credits and "verification" is a very simple IMDb search away. This goes for even relatively small casting offices / directors. Get fears of getting hoodwinked are really dumb, but from the Optavia saga, we know Amber doesn't do research.

It is not difficult to get on these types of shows. Amber could look up an email for the casting office, look, I already found it! Weightloss_cast@megalomedia.com.

Amber poses the question if she'd go to a hospital or some kind of program for help and she would in a heartbeat...but only if those things were free because she has not money, nor insurance. Yet, someone contacts her work a meal ticket and she doesn't take then up on it.

While it only inflates her already massive ego, I don't doubt she's had multiple people in casting reach out to her. She already has a viewer base and people would tune in in droves. They know this and yet Amber, despite saying she gladly take what they're offering, doesn't. Really makes you think. 🤔
