Have you examined his teeth? It could be dental since we are spitting ideas ITT as we wait for you take him to an actual vet. Does he have a loose tooth or severe cavity?i keep seeing him go to his food and water like he wants to eat/drink, but is reluctant.
Sorry for shitposting in your serious thread. You can try bringing some drops of the food or water up to his face and see if he's capable of licking it? Maybe he's experiencing some kind of facial weakness.i keep seeing him go to his food and water like he wants to eat/drink, but is reluctant.
He can lick, he’s licked at the soupy pate a few times and he’s licked dew off the window.Sorry for shitposting in your serious thread. You can try bringing some drops of the food or water up to his face and see if he's capable of licking it? Maybe he's experiencing some kind of facial weakness.
Give him lots of pets and check his litter box in the morning. He's not going to drop dead overnight. Just make sure he's getting fluids. He can lick, he’s licked at the soupy pate a few times and he’s licked dew off the window.
i can’t right now. I can go get the dropper and try to force water him tomorrow. There’s a veterinarian the next town over that’s open tomorrow.Give him lots of pets and check his litter box in the morning. He's not going to drop dead overnight. Just make sure he's getting fluids.
It most certainly is!@Flaming_Barghast this thread sounds right up your wheelhouse.
Five ish yearsI didn't thoroughly read the entire thread so I'm not sure if you mentioned it but if your cat's older any changes in food might fuck him up. My cat used to be pretty good with eating anything. There were some foods he didn't like but I could change it up no problem. Since he's gotten old though, any changes to his food, even in the amounts I give him, makes him sick or makes his shit runny and he won't eat very much or at all for a few days afterwards even though he's always been kind of a gluttonous pig of a cat. He'll even try to steal the dog's kibble, which actually doesn't make him sick.
