TLDR: dude named Imrad Ahmed, a UK citizen, is running a personal campaign to end X, and is doing this underneath a scam charity that is lobbying government. In the UK a charity is explicitly barred from political campaigning. He has been very busy with meetings in the USA, lobbying Democrats who will listen to him to craft regulation that will impede X from continuing as a going concern.

Leaked documents from the Center for Countering Digital Hate reveal their primary goal is to "Kill Musk's Twitter" by targeting advertising and leveraging EU regulations. The British non-profit organization hosted a private meeting with liberal groups opposing Musk’s free speech platform, including representatives from the Biden White House, Rep. Adam Schiff’s office, the Biden-Harris State Department, and Media Matters for America.

The Center for Countering Digital Hate worked closely with Alejandra Caraballo and Taylor Lorenz to push for banning wrongthinkers from pre-Musk Twitter. This was revealed in a "Twitter Files" thread about Taylor Lorenz last year.

9. Several of Lorenz's past reporting targets tell me she seems to work in concert with her sources. After Lorenz doxed @libsoftiktok in the Post, Alejandra Caraballo sent Twitter a "private letter" to remove Libs of TikTok. Lorenz quoted Caraballo in the Post that next month.

10. The letter was sent by Caraballo and several groups including the Center for Countering Digital Hate, a favored source in Lorenz essays on banning.

Taking a closer look at the email sent by Alejandra Caraballo, particularly at the organizations in the CC field:


We see GLAAD, Lambda Legal, the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund, the Transgender Law Center, the Equality Federation, the Advocates for Trans Equality, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the National Center for Lesbian Rights, the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism, and the Center for Countering Digital Hate (under their old website).

• These were the organizations who secretly worked together with Caraballo and Lorenz to (in this instance) pressure pre-Musk Twitter into banning Libs of TikTok. These organizations presumably lent their weight in many other banning/deplatforming campaigns as well.

Side-note: When I saw this list of orgs, it struck me that Liz Fong-Jones has been involved with several of them in the past.
Off the top of my head...

• Liz Fong-Jones donates to Lambda Legal [link], the Transgender Law Center [link], and the National Center for Lesbian Rights [pdf - Ctrl+F "liz fong"]. Possibly others as well.
• But more importantly, Liz Fong-Jones and Alejandra Caraballo are both on a GLAAD advisory committee whose entire purpose is to pressure social media companies into sweeping up wrongthink about troons. A report they put out last year (pdf) cited the Human Rights Campaign and the Center for Countering Digital Hate, whining explicitly about Libs of TikTok and other "hateful/extremist" people on social media.

I'm mainly mentioning this bit since Liz Fong-Jones, Alejandra Caraballo, and Taylor Lorenz were all major players in #DropKiwiFarms. I think it's a good idea to keep an eye on the organizations they've been covertly (and overtly!) working with. Just in case of future shenanigans, you know.
