Agreed, it's been incredibly meh for a long time now, hopefully this will be the start of shit kicking into high gear again.

If the first season was good because the manga was written like a movie, it feels like the chapters since have been written to be the anime.
All the boring Asa spergery will probably be cute voiced and all the awkwardly framed and rushed one-panel action stuff will probably be engaging once it's animated. And there's probably something meta going on with wanting to see Chainsaw Man actually do shit in the fucking Chainsaw Man comic. But it kinda sucks to read.

I figured they were giving him the Dracula treatment but damn, they went next-level with how badly they massacred my boy. Also, seeing the surgeon's casual disregard of the invasion, not to mention berating the intruders for ruining his careful organization of the body parts, is exactly the kind of punchline I'd expect here. Never change, Fujimoto.
