Chainsaw Man - Peak Fiction in the making

I mean…if this ends up getting us closer to seeing the Darkness Devil faster…

Honestly though, I don’t have any strong feelings one way or the other. Maybe once we get more information on it/see more of the film itself.
 
I just hope they brush up the animation. Give it that JJK treatment. Lord fucking knows it didn't deserve half the effort they put into that meaningless spectaclefest.

Ironically the main issue with Chainsaw Man's production is that the JJK team were working on it right after the movie without a damn break.

I recently finished the Chainsaw Man anime. It's above average with some standout moments, but it just didn't click with me. I'd say it's pretty overrated.

The anime is not as good as the manga. The manga is something truly special. Fujimoto is a great artist and he's a fantastic story teller. Everything he touches turns to gold. The anime suffered from production issues but its biggest crime is the tone and pacing. Something about it just feels off.

Reze Arc being condensed into a movie...I think people overestimated how long that arc actually is. It is about the length of a long movie. That being said, I'm just happy the climax of that arc will get the movie level budget it deserves.

So, if S1 ends in Chapter 38 with Denji and Aki crushing Katana's nuts, and Reze's arc (Ch39-52) is a movie, it seems like the rest of part 1 would fit pretty neatly into a second season.

Then maybe they can animate best girl Yoru before I get too old to care.
 
I keep hearing people talking about this anime... I even saw this scene about a woman who apparently doesn't like to flush the toilet in a random YT commercial.
That seems fucking weird, but is there some context that I'm missing? Please tell me more about this , I am now oddly curious.

Denji and her are basically borderline feral children. Up until a short time before this, she was running around naked eating cows and basically anything else she could get her hands on. That's about it. It's a weird one off joke. Why they decided to make it into a commercial....God people are weird.

I feel like there were a lot of extra things along her in that arc that would make a film run too fast. A lot of new characters, the fallout from the previous season and the epilogue will make a two hour film bloated. And any epic action scene will just be a ton of particle effects.
