Dismemberment devil? He(she?) was summoned by people cutting off their fingers and sat on a throne composed of two people missing their hands. Sounds like a pretty major fear.

I don't see how that's going to help. Pochita has such an extreme regenerative ability he can regenerate from just a heart in a matter of seconds as seen in his battle with Makima.

Lesser wounds seem to heal instantaneously.

Only thing that can level the field now is Fami pulling a primal out of her ass.

I was just taking a shot in the dark at what devil it was. A devil is more powerful the more its concept is feared, hence dismemberment would be quite strong. The only thing that makes doesn't fit is that he(she?) attacked with a giant fist, but then again darkness didn't attack with darkness, he just carved people up in the blink of an eye. They only needed to distract pochita long enough to grab him with the tentacles and make him cough up the concept of ears.

Semi-related, how were they still able to communicate via walkie talkies without ears?

I can see Yoru doing something with a Nayuta Corpse Sword, if she realizes who she is.

Yup they're bringing out the good shit now.

The people who speculated that special divisions 5 and 6 were jobbers designed to buy time until the big guns were ready were spot on.

I hate anime tropes more than most, for this reason I've only watched and completed a dozen or so anime, read a handful of manga, and truly enjoyed maybe half. Chainsaw man is so god damn fresh and rejuvenating. From the constant hilarious dialogue, the completely degenerate characters, and Fujimoto's creative vision practically burning through the pages. I think I read the entirety of Part 1 in 2 or 3 days, so awesome. Fujimoto also has an insane taste in women, as all his women characters are iconic: Power, Makima, Bomb, Kobeni, Asa. I'm no coomer, but I love good character designs.

Something about their designs is so simple yet so captivating. I'm going to read through part 2 on a rainy day here, I usually like to wait for the entire part to be finished so I'm not waiting weekly.

At this point, Denji may need to find and eat the “DEVIL” Devil just to course correct how much this world is absolutely fucked.

I'm actually pretty into the current arc, stakes are very high atm, kind of feels like the best parts of part I like International Assassins or the Control devil arc, hopefully Fujimoto can stick the landing.
 
Well, I was wrong. I figured it was the dismemberment devil, but it was actually the aging devil. And now not only are mouths gone, but octopus is eaten as well. Can't wait to see how they make him cough up the goods this time.
edit: Even chainsaw man lacks a mouth now. He can't eat any more devils but he also can't cough them up anymore.

I would think Fami planned this, up until mouths vanished. I think this might be the first time we ever see her emote.

I wouldn't count on the mouths being gone long. I imagine that the bits of the Mouth Devil that Denji ate will be ripped from his stomach forcibly.
