I think it likely that, like every other topic, he only knows the surface level and believed all of it at face value.

The common points are:
1 ) Children can't get the surgery until 18 (ignoring ftms who get their breasts removed as 14 year olds)
2 ) Puberty blockers just pause puberty, they don't stop it fully, they just give them time to decide
3 ) Hormones and blockers don't have any permanent effects and can be reversed at any time
4 ) Side effects of blockers and hormones are minimal and no big deal
5 ) Children are never coerced or peer pressured into transitioning and only do it for totally legit reasons like gender dysphoria that are never the consequences of early sexualization, sexual trauma, repressed homosexuality, social contagion, depression, compulsive disorders, autism, or fetishism.
6 ) Gender dysphoria is not at all similar to anorexia or body dysmorphia and thus the only option is transitioning instead of anti-psychotic medications and therapy or simply waiting it out
7 ) Early transition decreases suicide rates instead of nothing at best or increased rates at worst
8 ) Parents never encourage their children to troon out for social credit and attention and only support them out of love and empathy
9 ) There is a long and involved process of doctors referrals, therapists, differential diagnoses, and verifying things like depression are well managed, before medical transition can occur.
10 ) Children must socially transition for a period of time to verify its not a fad or a mistake before they can access puberty blockers or medication.
11) Informed consent clinics and online clinics that give approval for medication without these safeguards do not exist.
12 ) There are many safeguards in place to prevent faulty transition of children who were simply mistaken for some reason or another.
13 ) There is plenty of research showing that transitioning in childhood improves mental health and outcomes like passing and these result in better quality of life for the child in the long term

If he believed all of these were true, then his position would be far more likely to be acceptable. This is what's commonly parroted and critikal is a smoothbrain who believes what's the common narrative. Trans rights are human rights. Children deserve access to proper medical care.

His only mistake was believing it.

Too bad every single point I've outlined is a lie, many people these days know they're lies or at least are skeptical enough to prefer children wait until adulthood for ANY medical transition, and are sick of pretending otherwise.

Why would trannies want kids to stay kids until the legal age of consent? I just don't get it.

Also, I'm so glad to come home from work and see some youtube old guard imploding for defending tranny shit. Finally, even just a little. When one of them lose to an actual age-of-consenter retard in an online argument you won the first time and simultaneously get destroyed on the topic of transitioning kids (to the same age-of-consenter) you know it's a good day.

Happened with Kris Tyson and many times before. It will keep happening, using 'anti-transphobia' as a shield against having a bad take has been a thing since 2018 at least.

The problem with making a career of sitting on the fence is sometimes you fall off. Instead of picking himself up and dusting himself off and (and getting a taller person to help him) get back up on the fence or pick a side and continue the discussion... he chose to run like a pussy. there was also research recently debunking all that even iirc from sweden which iirc originated alot of the modern trans shit

alot of those points id have repeat responses to but when you line out like that i guess i was wrong in even assuming ignorance would be better morally since its so willful and negligent to the stakes being discussed that its evil as fuck in its own right.

I agree. But one thing is that most people don't even bother looking into it. As soon as you do it all falls apart pretty quickly. If your only exposure is Twitter talking points and your Disney overlords saying transphobia is bad, if you're someone like critical, what is the incentive to doubt it?
He's a coomer, he imploded his longterm relationship, he's terminally online, he has no children, I'm not even sure if he has any nieces or nephews or younger relatives that may be impacted that may give him pause, and he's certainly not on KF in the Jazz Jennings thread seeing contradictions to the narrative as a matter of laughs either.
Most people I know wised up real quick when it was their child, their niece, their nephew, their loved one suddenly talking about going on hormones or blockers or discussing surgery.
Parents, uncles, aunts, family friends, etc
This was certainly my case as well as my lurking kiwifarms and troon cow threads and exposure to adult troons irl.
Critikal doesn't seem to give much of a fuck about anyone but himself so it's not surprising he's never spared a single thought to this topic either.

I'm surprised Charlie decided to hide away and quit two of the podcasts he's on instead of just say "I'm sorry, I am poorly educated on transgender healthcare and how it affects children and so could not really make an informed opinion on the topic. I will be careful in the future to research my debate topics carefully."

He admitted to not knowing much about the topic during the debate, so why not go with that angle and suck it up and take the L properly with some grace?
